REPORT: Palisades Charter High School is in very good shape despite worries of the campus being destroyed from the #PalisadesFire.

Yes, some buildings were burnt down (mostly bungalow-like structures), but overall — an encouraging report that shows the football and baseball field are intact. Most classroom buildings are untouched. The aquatics center is unscathed.

Bob Chesney is the real deal. Not just because he’s a good coach, but because of his authentic approach and leadership style.

The best leaders don’t bark orders, they serve.

Looking at UCLA’s schedule , don’t be surprised to hear CFP rumblings. taken in CBS LA by @_tarekfattal

I’ve experienced significant loss before, but this loss put me face to face with mortality. My cousin Felicity was just two months older than me. She battled cancer for the last two years and died on September 12 — six days after her 37th birthday. I can’t quite wrap my head around it.

I did get to see her one week before she passed. When I told her I loved her, she responded: “Love you more.” Which was her trademark line.

We did a lot together when we were younger. I have vivid memories of those times. We always exchanged the best, meaningful hugs — I’ll miss those.

She leaves behind two young boys (Jarrod and Alex), who I will try to influence as best I can to carry on their mother’s legacy and memory — as I try and do with my mother everyday.
