The truth is I was scared. Scared of doing it on my own. Scared of my own potential. But then I realized it was because for a decent portion of life I had been surrounded by people who used my energy or took advantage of my kindness. Yebbas heartbreak
Today I relearned a powerful lesson and a literal one. To mind the business that pays you is the business you belong to. That is yours and yours alone. Not someone else’s business, but yours. After giving my all to a machine that didn’t reciprocate I thought I lost my all. Until I realized that it was just a machine. Machines work only when all the pieces that fit are in place. And when one falls out, the machine breaks. Something else has to take its place. My piece is irreplaceable and there’s nothing anyone can do to take that from me. So I’ll take my piece with my business and it will forever flourish because that’s who I am. Do you know who you are and what your piece can do? #explore #musician by @_tddnick
