Student-led campaign for climate justice and nature education 🌱

POSTS STORIES REELS

🍎 We had a really productive Monday speaking to MPs about how we can combat the green skills gap which is growing alongside youth unemployment. This looks like introducing green skills into the V-Levels and new Technical GCSEs, integration of sustainability into apprenticeships, and improving career advice so students are empowered to seek out jobs and education in the green sector.

💚 It was lovely to hold conversations with MPs and hear how different aspects of sustainability are impacting their constituents.

🖤❤️💚💛 For the last week of October, we are showcasing the work of Dr John Francis. An activist who responded to a oil spill by helping the cleanup processes, and vowing not to use automotive vehicles in its aftermath, and also the founder of Planetwalk, an organisation that encourages others to take steps for the planet and environment.

📚 NEW COP TEACHING MATERIALS: Greenwashing at the Science Museum 🔬😡

Written with teachers boycotting the Science Museum and backed by the NEU, Fossil Free Science Museum has developed exciting new teaching materials for KS 3 & 4 to support students to think critically about fossil fuel and arms sponsorship, particularly of educational institutions they might be invited to visit with their school such as the Science Museum.

The materials include slides and printable cards and sheets, downloadable from Education Climate Coalition and Ministry of Eco Education websites.
