Thanks to @civictn for the informative literature. Much gratitude to @darrahhall with @civicsmadesimple -she broke it down and made it plain. You’ll see more than candidates on your ballot. There are referendums and amendments as well. Take a listen.

Walk with me! Talk with me!

The way you show up in political matters like voting doesn’t have to be perfect. You do need to be informed and intentional. Thank you @darrahhall founder of @civicsmadesimple for giving us the run down on all the extra wordy language we’re seeing on the ballot this time.

The informational flyer is from @civictn
I personally think they are a source that offers helpful information. Check out part 2 for more information!

We had us a wedding! My best friend @jessicacarina_08 got hitched last weekend to @_russy_russ who over time has proven to be the best partner, an amazing dad, and keeper of Jessica’s heart. I couldn’t be happier. Only the best for her because my girl is golden. I love you both! 💍✨ by @_tealthecreator

It was a Good News Sunday indeed. My sis offered new perspective on ‘commitment’ I spent time with my family and I bounced back after a busy week of work and to do’s.

Wisdom teaches me I have an opportunity to look at my many commitments and make sure caring for my mind body and spirit is on that list.

I’ve committed to walking everyday until Nov. 3rd and I meant that. Just like I’ve committed to making more informed decisions at the polls.

Walk with me, I’m sharing more valuable info this week. Got some old & new friends joining me. Got 2 shows this Friday night at @experiencehattiloo Link is in my bio.

As of yesterday, Shelby County’s early voting turnout is up 85.7% since the last midterm election in 2022.

That’s we need. Keep it up, BIG Memphis!💪🏾

“As a culture worker who belongs to an oppressed people my job is to make revolution irresistible.” Toni Cade Bambara

Thanks @talibah.safiya & @madamefraankie for walking and talking with me yesterday about why voting is so important.

Much love to all the artists who ain’t too cool to connect with people about these things. You’re the realest for that. Revolution won’t happen without us. by @_tealthecreator

18 days until the election. 7 days until my feature performance at Hattiloo’s Music Box

10/16/2026: On this walk, I linked with 2 of my favorite Memphis musician friends @talibah.safiya & @madamefraankie

I was reflecting on how this season of my life is demanding that I stop hiding. To share more of myself publicly. To try. To fall and get up again. To be who I’m called to be. To be free.

All of that to share knowledge, to inspire, to honor, to give reverence, to bear witness to and reflect the beauty around me. To tell the truth. To give God, the ultimate collaborator, the glory.

Doors open at Hattiloo next Friday at 7:30 pm and 10:00pm. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at Hattiloo.org.

Voting is $0 and can be done at any polling location until Oct. 29th 😊

I got it done this morning. I’m just late posting. I’ve been working since I left the park.

I’m walking everyday until Election Day. 19 day to go and I’m coming to a neighborhood near you. Message me and we can see if our schedules align OR tag me when you take your walk.

No blind decisions at the polls people. Takes a little time but it’s worth it to stand 10 toes down about someone you’re familiar with. I’ll share some voter guides in my stories.

Take somebody with you to the polls or help someone get there.
