Hi, I’m Teejay! 👋🏽 I’m over 30, based out of San Diego, and I believe there’s no expiration date on using the gifts God gave you for His glory. 🔥🙌🏽

I’ve learned that dance is so much more than movement to me—it’s worship.

I want to use dance for Jesus because He gave me this gift in the first place. I’ve danced for many years, but as I’ve grown in my relationship with the Holy Spirit, I’ve realized that my gift has a greater purpose than simply performing. I don’t just want people to see choreography—I want them to encounter Jesus through what I carry.

My testimony is that God redirected my entire life. After years of serving in the military and walking through different seasons, transitions, and challenges, I said YES to Jesus in a deeper way. Coming back to San Diego became the beginning of a completely new chapter.

God took what was already inside of me—dance, leadership, culture, creativity, and a heart for people—and began showing me how it could all be surrendered back to Him.

Since then, God has allowed me to travel the world, serve in missions, share the Gospel, represent my Filipino culture through dance, teach the next generation, and worship Jesus through movement. 🌎🇵🇭🔥

That’s why I dance for Jesus.

Worship doesn’t only happen with a microphone. Sometimes worship looks like feet moving, bodies surrendered, cultures celebrated, and a dancer simply saying, “Holy Spirit, use everything You’ve given me for Your glory.”

I’m not dancing because I need another spotlight. I’m dancing because Jesus deserves my YES.

If even one person can experience the love, freedom, joy, or presence of God because I was willing to use my gift, then every rehearsal, every sacrifice, every sore muscle, and every step was worth it.

“Let them praise His name with dancing.” — Psalm 149:3 🕊️

This is more than dance for me.

It’s worship.
It’s ministry.
It’s testimony.
It’s obedience.
It’s my YES to Jesus. 🔥

San Diego based. 🌴
Filipino roots. 🇵🇭
Over 30 and still dancing.
Holy Spirit led.
Jesus centered.

As long as God gives me strength, I want every step to point back to Him.

Proud Filipino. Proud American. Unashamed follower of Jesus. 🇵🇭🇺🇸✝️

Holding the Philippine flag in Spain was more than carrying the colors of my heritage. It was an honor to be a flag bearer—to represent the people, culture, sacrifice, and legacy that are part of who I am.

The Filipino concept of kapwa reminds me that identity is bigger than “I, me, and mine.” It is about us—our shared humanity, our responsibility to one another, and the culture we carry forward.

I am deeply proud of my Filipino roots, and I am equally proud to be an American who faithfully served eight years in the United States Navy. 🇺🇸⚓️ Serving taught me honor, courage, commitment, sacrifice, and what it means to represent something greater than myself.

I don’t have to choose between the two.

🇵🇭 The Philippines is part of my heritage.
🇺🇸 America is the country I proudly served.
✝️ And Jesus Christ is the foundation of who I am.

Different flags may tell pieces of my story, but my ultimate identity and allegiance belong to Christ.

So when I lifted that Philippine flag high in the streets of Spain, I wasn’t simply carrying a flag.

I was carrying legacy.
I was carrying history.
I was carrying my people.

And above everything else, I pray that wherever God sends me and whatever flag I am entrusted to carry, my life will always point higher—to Him.

Proud Filipino. Proud American. Bold in my faith. All for His glory. 🇵🇭🇺🇸✝️

God has a funny way of connecting the dots. 🤍

Earlier this year, I saw a post about Revolution Dance Festival 2026 and thought, “That would be cool to attend.” I didn’t think much of it after that. Then I said yes to taking a class through WorshipWerk, and through that one yes, I was connected to the leaders of this festival. Looking back, I can see God was already ordering my steps.

The 2-hour drive north was worth every second. An anonymous person even blessed me by paying for my one-day ticket. Thank You, Jesus, for Your unexpected provision.

From Latin Fusion and Contemporary classes, to diving into God’s Word, witnessing the passing of the baton to a new generation of leaders, and ending the night in worship—it was a day I’ll never forget.

One of the moments that impacted me the most was during worship. I don’t consider myself a flagger, but when people were invited into the center to simply worship Jesus, I found myself responding. It wasn’t about the flag—it was about giving Him my full yes.

To close the night, I was prayed over and anointed with oil—not once, but twice—as people spoke life over my calling in dance ministry. I left reminded that our greatest assignment isn’t to perform—it’s to minister unto the Lord.

Grateful for every consecrated, Jesus-loving pastor, dancer, worshiper, and leader I met. Thank you for making me feel like family from day one.

Here’s to another generation rising up to worship in spirit, in truth, and with excellence. I know our paths will cross again.

🇵🇭❤️ Filipino Culture Immersion Camp 2026 ❤️🇵🇭

What an incredible 2½ days!

My heart is full of gratitude for what God did through this camp. I was surrounded by leaders who served with humility, joy, and a spirit of excellence, allowing us to pour into the next generation without burning out.

One of my favorite moments each day was starting with our warm-ups and ending every class with a loud “ISANG BAGSAK!” 🇵🇭 To me, that means, if one person wins, we all win. Watching our campers celebrate one another was a beautiful picture of Filipino culture, family, and unity.

This camp was especially meaningful because God brought me back to the Filipino folk dances that first made me fall in love with dance at 8 years old. What a full-circle moment.

To every camper: thank you for making priceless memories with us. I pray you continue to dance with confidence, honor your Filipino heritage, and use your gifts to make a difference wherever God leads you.

To our volunteers, leaders, teachers, and my family—thank you for your love, support, and servant hearts.

Above all, thank You, Jesus. Every step, every smile, every breakthrough, and every Isang Bagsak belongs to You. May this next generation continue to shine for His glory.

Instrumental Throwback. 🎬

It’s been years since I danced with these guys. What a great season to reflect on. This choreography to “Hit Em Up” by Tyga reminds me of the friendships, growth, and memories we built together through dance.
