Lighting and homeware by artist @alisonkudlow.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m delighted to announce the launch of Tender Objects: lighting and homeware by @alisonkudlow. In celebration of this new venture, I’ve organized an event featuring functional works by some of my favorite artists (and friends). Come see what I’ve been making alongside other incredible works May 30 & 31, noon-6pm at 166 Lefferts Place, Brooklyn.

Follow @_tender_objects_ for sneak peaks of products, info about future events, and upcoming discount codes/sales.

My brilliant friends:
@sheryloppenheim hand-marbles silk to create luscious throw pillows. @sachingber’s tables and stools defy material expectations. @stephanie.temma.hier imbues everyday objects with surreal humor. @christopher.daharsh uses material subterfuge to create new objects that seem like unearthed contemporary ruins.

Our large cream colored wall flower is a striking piece of art whether on or off. When on, light emanates, not just from its protruding glass center, but also in a beautiful halo around the petals.

This ceramic and glass sconce can be hung over any light source, including a hard wired wall piece (flush or protruding). We provide a plug-in LED light with adjustable warmth and brightness controls on the wire. by @_tender_objects_

Introducing the one and only Tristrato Queen. This elegant cream colored blossom features three different glaze treatments on her layers of petals. In an unexpected twist, the rainbow hued glass center is split in a hot-crossed-bun “x” shape across the top. Some might say she’s a bit “extra” but we insist she’s the fairest of them all. by @_tender_objects_

Our small wall sconces look just as beautiful off as on.

The small black beauty has five ridged petals as well as five spiny little leaves beneath. The rich black clay is unglazed to expose a matte earthy surface. The glass is tinged with blue and purple creating a cool toned light.

The small creamy beauty has three soft outer petals and three more peaking out from beneath. The glass is tinged with pink creating a soft warm toned light. When on, light emanates, not just from its protruding glass center, but also in a beautiful halo around the petals.

The lamp that started it all: a floor lamp that can transform a room. A ceramic tripod base, steal stem, and a ceramic two-part blossom, is topped by an emerging warm-toned glass globule. The outer layer of the blossom is glazed in a shiny textured black, while the interior is bare and burnished to a subtle shine.

All Tender Objects are one-of-a-kind, but this one took us by surprise with its unique glass details. The interior of the petals of this cream colored blossom are lined with crystalline glass. An orb of glass sits beneath, as if ballooning upward. When the light is on, the pink-hued interior sparkles like nothing we’ve seen before.

We love this table so much, we brought in a model for the photoshopt. A smooth white table top sits atop a biomorphic tripod. Layered glazes along the sides and legs add texture and movement by @_tender_objects_

This cream colored blossom has a wide opening to showcase its rich purple glass interior. When on, the glass transforms, revealing a luminous fuchsia speckled pattern.

This black blossom lamp is bursting at the seams with reddish purple glass! An irregular black glaze adds texture.
