About four years ago, Colin Kaepernick started kneeling before NFL games as a way to peacefully protest police brutality and racial injustice in the United States. He tried to bring attention to these ongoing issues. Instead of being joined, he was met with heavy criticism and contempt. People wanted him out of the NFL. People said “Do it on your own time”. They didn’t want him to use his platform for a good cause. Here we are...almost four years later and nothing has changed. If people had listened instead of judging him, maybe we’d be in a better position at this point in time. I respect what you were trying to accomplish ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 by @_terryp

One of the most recognizable figures in American history.

He was a man of integrity and great character. Yesterday would have been his 90th birthday. I appreciate the sacrifices you made for us. Your efforts will be never be forgotten 💯✊🏾🙏🏾
