"Auguri:'(" is a series that reinterprets AI-generated viral Facebook posts designed to exploit pity and drive engagement on social media. Using photography, AI manipulation, and sentimental captions, Tani recreates their exaggerated, kitsch aesthetic, reflecting on their grotesque yet familiar nature. The project questions how digital culture codifies compassion—superficial yet deeply personal.
