BECOMING BLUE | an indigo natural dyeing workshop weaving colour, plants and play In this beautiful hands-on workshop in collaboration with @sarahfromthecosmos , children are invited into the story of indigo, how a soft green leaf becomes a deep, glowing blue. Together we will • Dye a 70 x 70 silk that can be used to wear or play • Up cycle an item of clothing from home • Plant our own indigo seeds to take home Working with indigo, we will discover the magic of transformation as silk is dipped, lifted, and slowly shifts into swirling blues and winter sky tones. Each moment invites curiosity, patience, and delight in the changing nature of colour. Tuesday 7th of July @_the.cosmos.co Ages 4years+ 🤎🌀🌿 by @_the.cosmos.co
A winter weaving of colour, plants, and play. In this beautiful hands-on workshop in collaboration with @sarahfromthecosmos at @_the.cosmos.co, children are invited into the story of indigo, how a soft green leaf becomes a deep, glowing blue. Tuesday 7th of July @_the.cosmos.co Ages 4years+ Working with indigo, we will discover the magic of transformation as silk is dipped, lifted, and slowly shifts into swirling blues and winter sky tones. Each moment invites curiosity, patience, and delight in the changing nature of colour. Along the way, we look to nature to understand where colour comes from. Children will hold seeds in their hands, plant indigo to take home and grow, watching life unfold from leaf to dye. This is a slow, sensory experience of making and noticing, stirring colour, witnessing transformation, and discovering how plants and hands can create together. Pop a 🌀below and I will send you the booking link! by @_the.cosmos.co

A snippet of the Autumn Equinox Afternoon Art Ritual earlier this autumn with @zen.zo____ + @sarahfromthecosmos 🍂 Here at the farm, the changing seasons are deeply honoured, not just through the land itself, but through the way we gather, create and slow down alongside it. Autumn invited us inward. A time to release, reflect, harvest and prepare for the quieter months ahead. And now, as winter approaches, the farm begins to slow and replenish. A season of composting, restoring, nourishing the soil beneath the surface, and trusting in what is quietly taking root unseen. Join us in honouring this coming season and SAVE THE DATE for our annual Winter Solstice community gathering, The Winter Weave, here on @purplepearfarm , June 20th - 21st. Over the weekend, there will be a series of special offerings held across the farm, including here at the cosmos cabin. Many gentle spaces to pause, reconnect and align with the stillness of winter together as a community. More details coming very soon 🤎 by @_the.cosmos.co

Last week we had The Inner Garden end of term art exhibition 🌿🥂✨ An invitation for the children to share their unique creations, made with materials from the earth, and the stories, feelings, and meaning behind them. Families and friends wandered through the space, sipping chilled lemon myrtle tea, witnessing the creative journeys that unfolded across the term. The deeper therapeutic intention behind this exhibition was to offer the children the experience of being seen, heard, and valued in their authentic expression. A space of reverence for their inner worlds. To honour their process. To build confidence. To celebrate their creativity and imagination. And to gently bridge their inner world with their outer world. It was so special to witness how proud they were, standing beside their work, sharing parts of their ‘inner garden’, and glowing as their creations were received with curiosity and care. There is only one spot left in each class for next term: Mondays 12.15pm | ages 3-4 Tuesdays 1.15pm | ages 3-4 Wednesdays 2.30pm | ages 5-8 Send me a message if you’d love your little one to join us next term 🌱 by @_the.cosmos.co
