Catalysing human revolution is no simple task, how do we approach this? ㅤ We believe that new relationships — with ourselves, with nature, and with time — can emerge through processes of mutual learning across the chasms of modern society. ㅤ This belief grounds our across-the-chasms approach. We are currently working across: ㅤ 🗣️ Languages ㅤ 👣 Generations ㅤ 🕸️ Status ㅤ 🌍 Geographies ㅤ ⚖️Disciplines ㅤ 🧮 Separation ㅤ More details in the second slide. ㅤ By doing this, we aim to create a space for shared learning, collaboration, and emergence. Find out more about our approach in the first paper of our discussion series: link in bio ㅤ #humanrevolution #systemstransformation by @_the.fifth.element
What’s more important than answers? 👀 ㅤ Better questions. ㅤ They reveal hidden gaps. Challenge old thinking. And spark the transformation humanity needs. ㅤ Here are some of ours, but this is an open space. ㅤ What are the questions you want to ask? ㅤ #humanrevolution #systemstransformation by @_the.fifth.element

Who gets to decide what counts as knowledge? Decolonising education means questioning the hierarchies that tell us whose knowledge matters and validating ancestral epistemologies. ㅤ In our latest blog, we share researcher María Angélica Mejía-Cáceres’s work and the strategies she uses to place Indigenous, ancestral and local knowledge at the centre of academic debates. It is a shift from arriving with answers to listening, asking questions and learning with communities. ㅤ Read the full blog and explore what a more decolonial approach to education can look like 👉 link in bio! ㅤ This interview is part of No Limits to Hope initiative by The Fifth Element and the @weec_network, and the journey towards the new report to the Club of Rome, 𝐶𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝐻𝑜𝑝𝑒: launch on 4 November! In this update, we bring together the organising voices behind the A Time of Great Consequence manifesto - Steven Hartman (UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition), Carlos Álvarez Pereira (The Club of Rome), and Peter Schlosser (ASU Global Futures Laboratory) - to focus on the core pillars of the manifesto: 🌱 Viewing the Earth as a living web of meaning and pluralistic knowledge. 🤝 Transforming decision-making through frontline wisdom and solidarity. ✨Redirecting human ingenuity towards collective institutional renewal. The Manifesto stands as an open, universal call for global solidarity and collective responsibility across all sectors of society—inviting communities, leaders, and individuals worldwide to unite behind a shared vision. 🔗Read the manifesto, share it, and get on board to turn shared knowledge into shared purpose: Link in bio 👆 🔗Read this update in full - https://bridges.earth/news @asu_globalfutures @unesco @unesco_most_bridges_coalition_ @_the.fifth.element #ATimeOfGreatConsequence #Humanities #Manifesto #BRIDGESCoalition #sustainabilityscience by @_the.fifth.element
Who benefits from the way Africa trades? ㅤ Only 16% of Africa’s trade takes place between African countries. More than 75% of intra-African trade is settled in external currencies, with around US$5 billion leaving the continent annually in fees paid to foreign intermediaries. ㅤ In his paper, Towards an African common currency: lessons from the dollar, the euro and the digital era, Ken Alabi, member of the Club of Rome, explores a different possibility: a publicly issued African common currency that works alongside national currencies and supports cross-border trade. ㅤ The paper invites us to consider how Africa can build monetary systems around its own economic priorities. ㅤ Read the paper via the publications link in our bio. ㅤ #TheFifthElement #AfricanTrade #MonetaryResilience #AfricanEconomicIntegration #SystemsThinking by @_the.fifth.element
