The pictures on the left were from a time when I was more active and walking miles a day at work along with working out and weight lifting occasionally. They are my motivation. The picture on the right is from a few weeks ago. Just me getting back active after years of using a wheelchair, hardly no cardio and only walking 0.5 miles at the most on any given day. I have an office job so I spend the majority of my time sitting. You couple that with the fact that almost 5 years ago I lost both my legs, I'll say I'm doing fairly well. I probably make this life look easier than what it is. Every single day is painful. Sometimes the pain is debilitating. Every single day I get up and grind in spite of. The pain is not worth me failing. Every day I push to be a better employee, a better business owner, and a better inspiration to others. Most importantly I strive daily to be a better man, a better father, and human being in general. These are all before pictures now. Wait until you see the "new" after pictures. I can't even front and write the caption "No Days Off." I've haven't been as consistent as I would like to be and take daaaaaays off at a time. I tell myself that my life is too busy. I have so much work to do. I have family things to tend to. I have to fix this or that at the house. Truth is although I do have a ton of things going on, I am still learning how to prioritize my obligations and remain disciplined in spite of day to day adversities. It's a marathon not a sprint. Blessed to have lived a life beyond what would have been the day I died. Never thought I would see beyond that night. My body was heavy and my conscience seemed to have left my body. I knew I was no longer in this realm. I woke up and I fought. I fought with myself for weeks. One day I woke up in the hospital bed and decided I would live. Like really live but not just for me. I knew me surviving had to be bigger. All the support I received from friends and family was a reminder that my story wasnt just meant to die with me. God made me self sufficient in a sense that I never needed much to motivate me to do what needs to be done. Along the course of these past 8 yrs I've met countless people and inspired many more. I want my legacy to be formidable. That starts with having the courage to not just exist but be a beacon of light for others.

Without the Sun our entire planet would likely die. Without the Earth the Sun still would still shine bright. I see this as a symbol of selfless service. Hence The Sun Doesn't Shine For Itself!!! ~D. MACK aka The Bionic Beast 🦍 taken in United States by @_thebionicbeast

Waking up and experience pain everday seems unfathomable yet this is a new normal. Masking the pain with productivity seems like the logical thing to do. The pain persists whether I do or I don't. Therefore I wake up everyday and sell out to the idea that all of my hard work and efforts will yield a life worth having a second chance at. There are NO LIMITS. There are only problems you haven't yet found the solution for. While you take the time to work on yourself, be the reason someone else smiles and transform your pain into purpose.

The Sun doesn't shine for itself. Our lives should also be a light to others.
