Kinesthetic Awareness Low V11 Second try from bottom - TL;DR climbing is fun, we are improving, and having @steven_milano1 around makes you climb twice as hard. - At risk of only posting long, emotional captions when I send stuff, I’ll continue the trend here. I’ve meant to try this boulder for a long time, but always avoided it for some reason or other. Historically, I’ve prioritize getting more volume in on moderates over spending time on projects. While I enjoy getting on new climbs, part of the reason I did this was out of fear of wasting my time on climbs I thought I had no business trying. - After quickly sending Tesseract this season and having good trips to Coopers, I finally decided to make the trek out to KA. Lacking confidence as I normally do, I expected it to be quite hard for me, and prepared for a disappointing session. Well, we can see how it went here. - There have been many times in my climbing where I’ve felt hopeless and insecure, wondering if all the time and effort I spent training could’ve been put toward more productive ambitions. Moments like these remind me of the pure joy and self-actualization that climbing can provide. More importantly, they also remind me that I can overcome immense challenges. - Completing the V11 factorial by doing Profile of a Fugitive, which gave me lots of trouble 4-5 years ago, also showed clear improvements that are difficult to see at times. I also have my dear friends to thank for supporting me, not just during this crazy best climbing day ever, but for their unending support over the years. Machine Learning (FA @nick_hodder) @grace_for_impactt - With a bunch of skin splits going into this trip, I didn’t have any specific goals other than volume. @r2dliu said this boulder looked interesting, and Coopers proper was slammed, so we decided to go to Darnell Hollow and check it out! Figuring out the best foot sequence for me took a bit, but I managed to put it together quickly once I did! @vladthe1mpaler joined us shortly after and managed to easily flash after a quick beta spray down, then he repeated it just as easily for a video 🤯 - Thanks to everyone for such a great day out yesterday! by @_thechanimal_

Drop Out FA? 🎥 @grace_for_impactt - At the end of the day Saturday, we found ourselves in the No Name Cave at Rattlesnake point and I managed to put down 2 exits to this project! It’s slightly contrived, but has some pretty fun moves! - It starts on a 1-pad edge a couple feet to the left of no name and you get a funky pocket/slot for your right hand. Then, you do a big move to a half-pad edge at the start of the roof. From here you can do an easier exit to finish on No Name, but I also did this alternate exit across crimps to link up into Gap Year. This boulder was super fun and worth the hike! First mock comp at @theboulderyard! - I’ve really been getting into the weeds of all this setting business. Really proud of these 2 boulders I put up today. Somehow, with a 7am start, we were able to put down all the pads and carpet for the new walls and set a full round of boulders for a trial mock comp today! Special thanks to @rkaikclimbing for the opportunity, @ezpark92, @hunting_winter, and @m_benedictfrost_m for coming in to set and forerun, and to everyone who participated! Benthic Dweller (aka Ship’s Prow) CAMPUS - With only 2 hours of dry rock this past Saturday, I took @jameholme to URC to try out some classics. What actually ended up happening was us hiding under the roof of ship’s prow after it started pouring minutes after talking about how dry the rock was 😭. Fortunately, I was able to put down the full campus of Benthic Dweller before the rain came in! by @_thechanimal_

Lank Reflex 2nd Ascent FA @andrew_leich 🎥 @grace.j.chan - After the graffiti clean up, I dried off the top of the Ship’s Prow to give this definitely-not-a-linkup-perfect-rock-quality-not-choss line that Andrew put up earlier this year. I used slightly different beta to avoid a hold that seemed like it would break if I looked at it wrong and somehow managed to keep it together through the crux and make it through the last deadpoint! by @_thechanimal_
