How to Be an Effective Networker! Imagine this: It’s a Friday afternoon after a long week—you’re feeling the weight of forgetting your meal-prepped lunch at home, and you’re thinking about your 401(k) after reading the latest tariff news. You’re almost at the weekend, and you realize you need some time to unwind with friends. You reach out to me, your trusted best friend in life, and say, “Ernest, let’s meet after work. I’ll come to you.” I reply, “Sounds great! Meet me in Queens at 68th and 110th!” You finish work, you copy and paste “68th and 110th” into Google Maps (because Google Maps is superior to Apple Maps), only to discover that this address could point to three different locations! Frustrated, you text me back for clarification since you’re already on your way. This is what happens when you network without intentionality or direction. What does it mean to Live Life by Design? It means surrounding yourself with communities that support your goals and vision.
