HYROX BIRMINGHAM 🏁💪🏼
1:05:40 ⏱️

My first Men’s Doubles ticked off with @langhibashir 🤝🏼

Another stab at sub 60 in December… 👀💪🏼

3rd place finish at Race 5 with @langhibashir — a reminder that every race humbles, teaches, and fuels the next one. Onward 🏃🔥 by @_thegrayarea_94

My first HYROX humbled me.

It exposed weaknesses I didn’t know I had, tested me in ways I wasn’t prepared for, and showed me just how much work there is still to do.

But that’s exactly why I love it.

With more HYROX events booked this year, I’m taking every lesson, every mistake, and every tough moment from my first race and carrying them into the next.

The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is progress.

Back to work. 💪🔥

Little throwback to 11th July where @adam_morris94 and I competed in the @fitfactorybrentwood Summer Open 💪🏼

The race consisted of:
1KM RUN CHECK IN
1KM SKI ERG
100 SLAM BALLS (15KG)
100 CALORIES AIR BIKE
100M SLED PUSH (175KG)
100 WALL BALLS (6KG)
1KM ROW
100M BURPEE BROAD JUMPS
100M SANDBAG WALKING LUNGES (20KG)
1KM RUN CHECK OUT by @_thegrayarea_94

@_race5 ✅

Such a good event — 5 x 800m runs, each followed by a workout zone made up of SkiErg, BikeErg, burpee broad jumps, rowing, bag carries, duck walks, bag throws, sandbag lunges and the Echo Bike.

A big thanks to my running partner @langhibashir for pushing all the way through 🤝

We just missed out on the men’s doubles podium after finishing third last year. Disappointing to come so close, but it only means one thing… we’ll be back stronger next year 👊

Warm up for Hyrox Doubles Birmingham in October 🙌🏻 time to lock in by @_thegrayarea_94

Another challenge ticked off ✅ @essex_games

This one was a little different because I got to compete with my dad @davidgrayfitness ! Great day, great event and a lot of fun from start to finish.

Until the next one 💪🏼 by @_thegrayarea_94

My First Functional Fitness Competition with my son @thegrayarea_94 @The Essex Games The Manor. A great day out. 👍🏼💪🏼🏃🏽‍♂️#loveofrunning #fitnessmotivation #olderathlete #life by @_thegrayarea_94

What an event at @essex_games ! 🙌

To make it even more special, I got to race alongside my dad @davidgrayfitness

We’ve only raced together twice in my life. The first time was when I was 4 years old… swipe to the end to see that photo. ❤️

Fast forward all these years later, and we pushed ourselves across the finish line together in 56:01.

Days like these are about so much more than the time on the clock. They’re about making memories, sharing the challenge, and proving you’re never too old—or too young—to do something together.

Many more events to come. 💪 by @_thegrayarea_94

Watching the Hyrox World Championships got me excited to step into the arena again

(obvs not world champs 😂)

Next one booked up is Doubles in Birmingham (October) and then hoping to get a ticket for December (London)

After finally getting a marathon under my belt, it’s been nice getting back to the hybrid style training that I’ve developed a serious addiction for 😂
