Teach them while they are young that their hair is beautiful- because it is! Your hair is unique, just like you and you can wear it however you want to wear it. This smile says it all and I am always so honored when parents bring their kids to me to help them start their journey with embracing their curls! This is Joanna and I don’t think it’s even POSSIBLE for her to be any cuter 🥹😭 we just did a little lesson on styling, but next time we will be doing a haircut!

Some of my favorite hair things and no, I don’t use an unbrush to detangle OR style my or clients curls, New Wash Rich is one of the best cleansers for your curls, the Ouidad gel reigns supreme and hair balm is the goat! Make sure you protect your hair at night too 😘 all of these are a personal preference as I’ve tried SO many products and techniques- this is what I’ve found works best!!!

Finallllllly got it together and was able to make this feel without any glitches 🤣 it’s a long one, but if you’ve ever been interested in some of the things I ask or talk about in a consultation, this will give you some insight ✨ mind you, this is still edited down because I truly do consult with my clients, new and existing, for up to 15 minutes! Haircut for our Virginia at SR Weho!!! I’ve been sick the last few days and I’m feeling better today, so why not post some hair tings while I’m stuck at home 🙃 I still need to redo the reel I made of this haircut, but here are the before and after. I will say this to every client that sits in my chair that has curly hair: your curl pattern does NOT determine what your styling products will be. Curl pattern does NOT denote texture or porosity. Those are the things that matter. For Virginia, she has a tighter curl, but fine texture. I still used Hairstory New Wash Rich and Hair Balm paired with gel. Why? She has curly hair and her needs were hydration and moisture. By giving her hair both of those, you can see how different her hair looks. The color is restored, her hair looks fuller and the curls have shine! Remember, it’s not what hair looks like, it’s what it feels like 🩵 thank you for trusting me Virginia!
