im so glad to share about my friends getting married and i made them new frogs to go along into their new life together too !!

some backstory:
(2020) its so interesting how my friend hannah who used to crochet and then joined lalangbarang for their short stint of selling items, introduced me to them, and i too joined them for the short stint for charity. and she too also bought 2 froggo keychains for herself and her then future husband hehe

(2020-2024) throughout the years of the froggos each living in both the now bride and groom's lives, they kind of worn themselves out. and even hannah had to do some emergency surgery a few times that in the end i just told her ill make her a new one HAHA

(2025 - present) honestly i procrastinated the froggos a lot, was intending to just make new plain froggos, but since knowing about their marriage i made a new plan to make them new froggos and now stuffed with dried lavender from my trip to new zealand :)

it's kind of surreal to see my 'art/creation' live on for so long and even making its mark in a new season of life :') hopefully the new pair will continue to journey with their hoomans before emergency surgery comes around again

am very very happy and thankful to have the opportunity to make stickers for @layyimusic 's recent homebody slumber party!! (guys the EP is already out go check it out NOW)💥

there were 5 songs in total, so i made ard 1-2 designs for each song!!! kind of happy with how they turned out + hearing the songs live too hehehe

now for my bts story:
tbh i wasnt expecting myself to do much art at all but this kind of made me get back to have fun thinking, ideating, designing and making! creating! i didnt even realised that i missed doing these things but im glad to say that ive found joy in my passion again. to anyone reading this- you got this !!💖 by @_thehappybread

here's what i did (and did not) do in 2025! honestly was really rough for me in the first half of the year and i was really like surviving on nothing but mlbb and luckin everyday (i was a gold member in 4 months) and while i do look back on good memories, but i will have to say the second half of the year was more than what i had expected

all thanks to Jesus because honestly without Him i wouldn't have done a lot of things, met a lot of people, become better friends, became a better person, have a better outlook on life and living, less angsty and got a new job. i could credit it all the myself too, but sometimes i wonder who's doing all these for me if i wasn't doing anything. this was also the time that i decided to give my art to Him, and the so loved shitting smiski was also born during this time when He hit me with inspiration. i am still quite afraid of being bold about my faith in this aspect, but i have at least decided to try !

another big thing that happened (just recently) was boothing at MAD market! it's my first time and honestly i realised that there is so much to prepare for boothing and also the pure vibes of whatever that was, and i felt so not pressured even when i just sit there or stand there or exist there. i feel like i wasn't even a boother with a sales mentality, but just a creative who is there to show others her work and stories behind them. yall actually set the bar for me in boothing and honestly 100/10 will do it again.

so that is my year, honestly still tiny and growing, but even so, still growing and i am also proud to see how i have indeed grown.

started inktober late as usual but i hope i can catch up :) using this one from @indie.beginning this year! ill be writing some reflection thoughts and how i got to the art from the word each time below as well

day 1: arise
the word seems to mean to get up, but has a deeper meaning when we look at how the word is used. God usually uses this word in His commands for His people to do something or put into action eg. Arise, and go. We may overlook the word as just a sign to go but actually has a deeper significance in our action in obedience to God and His presence.
I thought that our heart and act in obedience to God is like a flower blooming from its bud stage. There is no questioning that the flower will bloom, even though it may not seem like there is much progress. But surely when it continues to rely on the source and nutrients from the root, it will surely grow. Be it rain or shine (in fruitful or dry seasons) the source still remains unchanged, and it is the True vine that we cling on to and grow from.
So, arise, but not just for new opportunities, but towards God's will for us. Arise in obedience for the root we rely on. Also, the flower I chose is a carnation, because it often symbolises devotion and unchanging loyalty to someone even till death.
