Baby, let’s dance. 💃🏾🫧✨
I brought in music and disco lights because joy should never feel like a luxury.

Then I painted the bubbles—soft like clouds—because every child should know the sky is the limit.
I made this place affordable because value shouldn’t be a question.
I built a small library at the center because clean clothes and a fresh perspective should come out of every wash.

The whimsy is intentional.
But the standards? Non-negotiable. 🧺 taken in Avenel, Woodbridge by @_thelaundrybasket

This one’s for my fellow Sex and the City fans—because like Carrie, I can’t help but wonder: Can you @oxicleanofficial a feeling?

“If laundry has always been gendered labor all over the world… why couldn’t a woman own a laundromat?”
She stopped, sorted her thoughts, and finally nodded—then told me she’d been encouraging people to give my laundromat a chance. The irony wasn’t lost on either of us. Still figuring out the cadence of ‘Sorted Thoughts’ mainly because I’m still sorting my actual laundry. A year ago, I took a leap of faith and bought a coin laundromat. It wasn’t just a business move; it was a return to purpose.

Now, my days are spent fixing machines, sorting socks, and handing out flyers. And in doing so, I’m seeing the world for the very first time.

Nestled in one of the country’s most diverse counties, The Laundry Basket has taught me more about myself, the dignity of clean clothes, and the true state of our union than any policy briefing ever could. There’s a lesson in every load.

With a heart full of gratitude, I’m humbly asking you to follow our journey and read our stories. The link to our Substack, Sorted Thoughts, is in our bio. taken in Avenel, Woodbridge by @_thelaundrybasket

Let’s turn laundry day into a vibe.
Join us at Laundry Basket on Oct. 4th, 5–10PM for Spin Cycle, a laundry day party featuring a live DJ set by the Laundry League — our resident DJs bringing the tunes from across New Jersey.
Entry’s simple: do your laundry on-site or drop it off for wash-and-fold with a special discount.
Good music, clean clothes, easy energy.

From the bottom of our laundry baskets, thank you!! As a small business, earning a review is hard work, especially a good one. It means impressing or disappointing a customer enough that they feel compelled to share their experience. We work incredibly hard to build trust in the community and we’re always happy with thoughtful reviews. #thisistherealdeal taken in Laundry Basket by @_thelaundrybasket
