~ Over the past few weeks, I took a step back to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the reason The Money Journal exists. Somewhere between daily responsibilities and the rush of life happening, I realised how easy it is to lose sight of why you started something. I was reminded why The Money Journal exists — to make financial literacy less intimidating, more practical, and deeply human. To bridge the gap between knowing about money and actually knowing what to do with it.

~ I know what it’s like to be young and ambitious, but still unsure how to navigate money without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve had moments where financial discipline and planning were my only lifeline, the thing that kept me moving forward when it felt easier to give up. That’s why I will never stop talking about it, sharing what I learn, and creating spaces where we can figure it out together.

~ As we step into this next chapter, expect more personal stories, honest conversations, and tools you can actually use in real life. The Money Journal has always been about helping us, young people, live smarter, stronger, and freer lives. And now, that mission feels more important than ever.

Ever set financial goals and then wonder why they never stick?

Sometimes the problem isn’t the goal itself. It’s that we’re planning our finances with guesses instead of numbers.

For the longest time, I didn’t have a clear picture of my expenses, income, or even where most of my money was going. And it’s hard to set realistic financial goals when you don’t actually know your numbers.

The journey with @zamaafricahq has honestly been very exciting. Honestly, a problem measured is a problem half solved.
