CNA. RN. BSN. MSN. Certified Nurse Practitioner.

On my nursing journey every stage mattered. No stage was greater than the other. I didn’t underestimate where I was during each chapter and I didn’t rush the process. Every chapter prepared me for what was next and I am a stronger nurse because of it.

Nothing was skipped. Nothing was given. Every single pin was earned. Every single one mattered🙏🏾🩺

I come from a generation of women who put their dreams on hold when they became moms because they thought their dreams were impossible. 💕

When I went to meet with my advisor at one of the nursing programs I’d been accepted into, my son was on my hip. She looked at him and called him “baggage.” 😔 But I refused to let that discourage me.

To all the moms: our children are NOT baggage. They are our purpose. 💭✨

When I started my nursing journey, I didn’t have the mentorship I needed. I learned through trial and error but it didn’t have to be that way.

That’s why I created The Pretty NP Academy 👩‍⚕️💖 to guide, mentor, and support the next generation of nurses. Because your dream is possible. @blacknurseskillingit @blacknursesmeet

🗓️ Launching September 23rd!!! Stay tuned!

Don’t let the challenges in healthcare harden your heart — but also don’t stay in a toxic environment. Advocate for better. Move on if needed. But continue to be the best nurse you can be 💪🏾🤞🏾💗🩺

If God brought you to it, He’ll bring you through it 🤍

That includes nursing school.

The exams. The clinicals. The long nights. The moments you want to give up. Every challenge is part of the journey, but so is God’s faithfulness.

If He opened the door for you to be in that nursing program, trust that He’ll give you the strength, wisdom, and perseverance to finish.

Keep going. Your purpose is greater than your obstacles. 🩺✨

Tag a future nurse who needs this reminder today💕
