147 days ago, @handleitafrica opened an exclusive exhibition in collaboration with @undpnigeria and @ngbritisharts exploring the powerful intersection of AI & African arts.

Today marks 3 years since I joined @penzaarville . I came in as an intern, and I remember one of the conversations I had with Penzaar after one of his speaking engagements at UNILAG. I told him how I had always wanted to be tutored by him or @thepamilerin the media & PR industry.
These are two industry leaders I admired from afar, even before Penzaarville Africa.

I got into Penzaarville as just a WPS Office boy, lol. I thought I knew it all, bro! I kid you not, I knew nothing. Deep down, I knew there was still a long way to go, Michael, but with the help of God, we’ll make it there faster.

And trust me, it wasn’t like I didn’t have a “big-boy” paying job before then. But when I got the opportunity to intern at @penzaarvilleafrica, I didn’t think twice. I resigned and chose to pursue my dream.
Life after school was messy because I just wanted to work. I sent several emails and Instagram DMs to different agencies. Slide 10 is one of the messages I sent to @penzaarville — “Keep bombing!”

Fast forward to today, and all I can say is that the past 3 years have been something I can be proud of — crazy at the same time, but beautiful.

Grateful for the gift of @upanddownfellow Thank you sir for teaching us, for the corrections, and for giving us a platform to learn. (I still remember the first time you told me you liked one of the content pieces I edited.) I smiled all day, mehn. Lol.

Grateful for every opportunity, and for every “Michael, you’re going with Layi.” Grateful for the days I got to follow you to several speaking engagements and for everything I picked up along the way from those engagements. Grateful for some of the rooms you took us along with you into. 🥹

Started a party 4 years ago with my classmates & old friends, and now we’re starting a show in collaboration with @cbagallery directed by @awwwexome

Three years ago, I remember being just a volunteer with @limitlessleadershipeversion while I was a student at The Polytechnic Ibadan. Fast forward to today — I serve as the Director of Public Relations & Media.
Same place, different level.
Trust me, I was never even after titles — I just wanted to be that guy, do my best and leave the rest to God, lol.

One thing I’ve realized so far through my journey is that growth like this doesn’t happen by luck — it’s consistency, showing up, and doing the work even when nobody is watching & as we prepare for LLE @ 7: Ibadan’s largest leadership symposium, I’m reminded that every small role truly matters.

Big s/o to my assistant— @rajiadetoun & @jidemike_ — for holding it down, and the designers also. 🫶🏿❤️

took us 3 years before we saw meaningful rapid growth & here’s my advice for every creator starting out today:out persist yourself. You need to love what you do and don’t stop creating.
