Something’s coming. One day this November.

3 hints:
1. You pick the topic.
2. You say it out loud.
3. You find out what to fix.

Can you guess it? Drop your guess in the comments.

Mind goes blank in interviews? Use this 4-step answer.

1. Say what it is.
2. Say how you’d spot it.
3. Say what you’d do first.
4. Sum it up in one line.

Swipe to see it on a real question: postpartum haemorrhage. The full answer takes about 30 seconds.

Clear. Safe. Easy to follow. That’s what a panel remembers.

Save this and try it on one topic today. Out loud.

Always follow your hospital’s protocols and local guidelines.

5 clinical questions to practise before your interview.

1. How would you recognise and manage postpartum haemorrhage?
2. Walk us through caring for a newborn right after birth.
3. A patient’s blood sugar is 2.8 mmol/L. What do you do?
4. How would you prevent infections on your ward?
5. How would you monitor a woman in active labour?

Swipe for what a strong answer covers. Then say each one out loud in 1½ minutes. Time yourself.

Save this. Send it to the friend with an interview coming.

Always follow your hospital’s protocols and local guidelines.

Exam season? Here’s what examiners listen for in vivas and OSCEs.

1. Structure. Start, middle, end.
2. Safety first. Call for help, check the basics, escalate early.
3. Accuracy. Right terms, right numbers. Unsure? Say what you’d check.
4. A calm pace. Rushing hides what you know.
5. A clear close. End with a one-line summary.

Save this before yours. And say your answers out loud this week, not just in your head.

The Round gives you feedback on exactly this. Coming one day this November. Link in bio.

It started with me blanking out loud.

A lecturer would say “Define pre-eclampsia.” I knew it. In my head, it was clear. Out loud, it came out messy.

Then I saw someone on Instagram who’d built a site that gives you random words to talk about. I slid into his DMs to ask how.

That’s when it hit me. The best person to build this is the one living the struggle.

So I built a first version with AI and tested it with friends. Now there’s a team, and we’re building it properly.

The Round is a place for nursing and midwifery students to pick a clinical topic, answer it out loud, and get clear feedback.

It opens this November. Join the waitlist and you’ll get in first. Link in bio.

“I know this topic.”

Until somebody says,

“Okay, explain it.” 😭

Nursing and midwifery students, has this happened to you?

#TheRound #StudentNurseLife #MidwiferyStudents by @_theround_

You passed the exam. Now comes the interview.

And the panel won’t give you options A to D.

They’ll ask something like “How would you manage a postpartum haemorrhage?” Then they’ll wait.

You know the steps. The hard part is saying them clearly while someone takes notes.

The fix isn’t more reading. It’s practising out loud, so you hear your answer before the panel does.

That’s what The Round is for.

WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT TO SAY?

You have 90 seconds.

A patient has severe bleeding after delivery. What are your immediate priorities?

Say your answer aloud before you check your notes.

This is a learning prompt—always follow current clinical guidance.

The idea behind The Round started with a question: we read and revise so much, but how often do we practise saying what we know?

We’re still building, and I want to hear from the students this is meant for.

What do you find hardest about answering clinical questions aloud?
