POV: God’s a girl dad who picked your dress for your friend’s engagement. ✨A few days before my friend’s engagement, I was desperately searching for a pale pink dress. I ordered one online but when it arrived, it looked poor in quality. My sister, whom I believe God used as a conduit, suggested I visit a specific store instead. The next morning, I walked in, and there it was: hanging on the rail, in my size, modest, pretty, and at a quarter of the price. I couldn’t believe it.Moments like these remind me how much of a ‘girl dad’ Jesus is in my life. Moments later I realised that one day, God will be choosing my wedding dress too. Let this be a word of reassurance that God cares about even the smallest details of your life. He cares for you, and I love how He even dresses me! On another note, it’s wedding month, and my childhood friend of 30+ years, @dipztailor is getting married! I recorded a few testimonials not long ago, and there are many more to come. In the next few slides, I’ve shared parts of my story: how I first encountered Jesus, how He healed my skin, guided me in my career, and filled the emptiness in my heart after losing my mother. From deep trauma to divine healing, from asking God what He truly thinks of me to learning how to receive His love - I share all of this and more of what I’ve learned after following Christ and seeking truth over the past eight years. This journey has shaped who I am today and given me a whole new perspective on love - one that continues to blow my mind!I’m sharing this because I’m learning to integrate all parts of myself into all areas in my work. There’s a beautiful truth I heard from Karl Andrew Martin via @streams.studio (in slide 5) about connecting who we are in our hearts, in Christ, with what we do in the world. That understanding is changing a few areas in my life. It can feel a little daunting at times, but I know it’s right for me. My hope is to let God use me in ways beyond what I could ever imagine. After all, it was Him who told me to let go of my previous job and step into modelling, and here I am, eight years later. I truly hope these testimonials might speak to you in some way, especially if you’ve gone through something similar or are simply curious. I’m here to share what has helped me to heal, grow, and rediscover hope. There really is a God who loves you. What I follow isn’t a religion - it’s Christ, and He is love. I’ve found my true source of love in Him, and I can feel His presence (love, protection etc…) everywhere I go. After eight years of seeking truth, I’ve come to understand this: He is it. It was Christ who spoke to me to go to church, and who graciously healed me. Now, I get to experience all His wonderful blessings and unconditional love everyday. Today, a small group from church hit the streets to serve meals to those who need them most. Proud to be the face of @thebodyshop ’s global campaign, featured in every store around the world ✨. It’s definitely a pinch-me moment! Thank you, The Body Shop, for this awesome opportunity 💚3 & 4: Professional shots that are used for the campaign. 5 & 6: Behind the scenes7: I video-called my dad and asked him to stop by The Body Shop to see if notices anything. Seeing his smile grow the moment he realised it was me on the front of the store was such a wholesome moment. He snapped a photo - one I won’t forget. 8: My parents have always been my biggest fans. From day one, my mum never missed an opportunity to watch me on TV when I modelled for QVC. This video was taken back in 2019, when I had just joined the company, hence the lack of fluidity in my movements and my uncertainty about which camera to look at, haha. My mum used to WhatsApp everyone she knew, proudly sharing clips of me. I know that today she would be overjoyed, beyond anything I can comprehend, to see me on the front of a store where she shopped for her own skincare products.
