Yo yo yo Homies! We’re stoked to announce the drop of our third Cypher here at RTR! The roadies have rocked out through with one hell of an adventure from the Cyphers challenge and we are getting locked in and ready to rock! Let’s go! 🤘🪬

What is a Cypher? A Cypher comes from Hip-Hop culture where you have a group of MCs get down on a beat together in a free form, free flowing playing style, passing the Mic or Mics, creating a tune around the theme and underlying bones of the beat! In the same spirit the Cyphers here at RTR is the producer version of this but instead of a beat, we have a theme for everyone to create within!

The theme for this Cypher is 12-Bar Steppas! All the producers who participated in this Cypher were given the challenge to create a bass tune that is all based around a 12-bar blues progression! The tune had to had to be steeped in the sound of this progression and the overall swagger of a the blues! So kick back and pour out a glass as we get deep into these journeys together!🥃

The theme for this Cypher is 12-Bar Blues! All the producers who participated in this cypher were given the challenge to write an entire song with a 12-bar blues progression as the central harmonic theme of the track!

The theme for this Cypher is Cryptids! All the producers who participated in this Cypher were given a list of Cryptids and the lore behind the Cryptid to create a track around! The tune had to carry the essence of that Cryptid and be faithful to its lore in sonic form through their creative interpretation! 👺

What is up everyone! We're now rolling up to our last pit stop on our way to Cypher 002: Cryptids ripping through the aether tomorrow! Coming to our final stop on their road trip our next pit stop takes us deep into the jungle with a track preview from the Roadie @_tiqk with their forthcoming tune People Eater!
.
Following the rumors from the travelers and tribes of the area TIQK ventured deep into the forgotten parts of the jungles, honing in on this legendary yet elusive monster. From tales of people mysteriously vanishing only for their dismembered remains left to be found later on, to tales of a large ape like creature following people in the night. TIQK followed these rumors deeper and deeper into the jungle honing in on his prey and readying his array of tools at his beck and call for the onslaught ahead. 💀

Did TIQK find this legend? Did he come out the other side? Did he lose himself in the jungle finding this elusive creature? Stay tuned for the next chapter of this road trip! 🪬

What is up Homies! We’re continuing on the cypher train with our next stop being a track preview of the homie @_tiqk ‘s forthcoming tune on Cypher 001: Tonal Textures with his tune Juicehead!

Getting submerged into the halls of the tonal textures @_tiqk has emerged from the lab with a bass journey deep into the glitch side after drinking deep from a potent brew of glitchjuice!🧃

We are now stoked to announce the first in the new cyphers series being dropped here on February 7th!

What is a cypher? A Cypher comes from Hip-Hop where you have a group of MCs get down on a beat together in a free form, free flowing playing style, passing the Mic or Mics, creating a tune around the theme and underlying bones of the beat! In that same playful spirit the Cyphers here at RTR is the producer version of this but instead of a beat, we have a theme for everyone to create within!🎨

The theme for this Cypher is Tonal Textures! All the producers who participated in this cypher were given a single sound library of samples and have to make their tunes and everything inside the tunes on this cypher, from that sound library with the exceptions being vocals and drums! 🪘
