Going from doctors dismissing your PCOS/PMOS symptoms… to finally being heard, only to be given the pill 😭

The acne. The irregular periods. The bloating. The fatigue. The painful PMS. The cravings.

You know something isn’t right, but you’re made to feel like you’re overreacting or that it’s “just normal.”

And then when you finally get answers, the solution can feel like: “Here, take the pill.”

The pill can be a helpful option for some women, but you deserve to understand your symptoms and your options too.

Next time you see your doctor, don’t be afraid to ask:

🩷 Could we investigate what’s causing my symptoms?
🩷 What blood tests or assessments are appropriate for me?
🩷 Could insulin resistance or other metabolic factors be contributing to my symptoms?
🩷 What are my treatment options besides or alongside the pill?
🩷 What should I do if my symptoms continue?
🩷 When should I come back for a review?

You deserve to be listened to, taken seriously and given the information you need to make informed decisions about your health.

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping women with PCOS/PMOS understand their symptoms and build sustainable habits around nutrition, movement, sleep, stress and their overall wellbeing.

As a Desi woman, I genuinely hate the word “compromise.”

It triggers me. It pushes all my buttons.

Because growing up, “adjust kar lo,” “thoda compromise karo,” and “ladkiyon ko thoda adjust karna padta hai” can feel like they’re always directed at women.

Compromise your dreams.
Compromise your boundaries.
Compromise your happiness.
Compromise your needs.

Aur kyun? Sirf isliye kyunki “log kya kahenge?”

I don’t believe women should have to constantly make themselves smaller, quieter or more accommodating just to keep everyone else comfortable.

There’s a difference between healthy compromise in a relationship and constantly sacrificing yourself.

Main adjust karungi jab mujhe genuinely karna ho.
But I refuse to lose myself just to fit into someone else’s expectations. ❤️

Today is the LAST DAY! 🚨

If you’re struggling with insulin resistance or your PCOS/PMOS symptoms, we currently have 40% OFF our 1-1 PCOS/PMOS coaching 🤎

Click the link in our bio and fill out the form now — the offer ends TODAY!

3 signs your body may be struggling with insulin resistance 👇🏽

🤎 Acanthosis nigricans — dark, velvety patches of skin that can be associated with insulin resistance.

🤎 Skin tags — these can sometimes be associated with higher insulin levels.

🤎 Intense sugar cravings — blood sugar fluctuations can contribute to stronger cravings, particularly for quick sources of energy.

3 simple lifestyle habits to support blood sugar management:

1️⃣ Add protein + veggies to your meals → protein keeps you fuller for longer, while fibre can help slow the rise in blood sugar.

2️⃣ Pair your sweets/desserts with protein, healthy fats or cinnamon → making your dessert more balanced can help reduce a rapid blood sugar rise.

3️⃣ Walk or do some light house chores after a higher-carb meal/dessert → your muscles use glucose for energy during movement, which can support blood sugar control.

This isn’t about creating fear around food or cutting out carbs ❌ It’s about understanding your body and learning simple ways to support your PCOS and insulin resistance, which are closely connected.

If you’re concerned about insulin resistance, speak to yourmedical professionals. #insulinresistant #sugar #desi #pmos #insulinresistance taken in London, United Kingdom by @_tlift

🚨 40% OFF my 1:1 Desi PCOS Coaching — ONLY 1 DAY LEFT! 🚨link in our BIO!

Want to lose fat with PCOS/PMOS without giving up your Desi food? This is exactly what we work on inside my 1:1 PCOS coaching 💗

Here are 3 simple habits to start with:

🥣 1. Start your day with a Desi protein breakfast
Aim for around 25–30g of protein at breakfast to help support fullness, muscle maintenance and balanced blood sugar levels.

🌳 2. Go on nature walks
Not every walk needs to be about burning calories! Go outside, breathe, clear your mind, listen to music or gossip with your girls 😂 Regular movement can support your overall health and insulin sensitivity while giving you some much-needed mental space.

🥗 3. Add a salad to your meals
Think cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, leafy greens, onions, peppers or whatever you enjoy! Adding fibre-rich vegetables to your meals can support fullness, digestion and blood sugar management, while contributing to an anti-inflammatory eating pattern.

And NO, you don’t need to give up your roti, rice, naan or your favourite Desi foods to lose fat with PCOS. 🤌🏽

It’s about learning how to balance your plate, portions, protein, fibre and lifestyle in a way that works for YOU.
