Hi, I’m Jessie — and after spending the last 5 years in Louisville, KY (where my pageant journey began), I’ve officially moved back home to Ontario. YES, I’m Canadian — and it feels so good to be back! ❤️ 🤍

While Kentucky gave me the most incredible experiences and sisterhood, I’ve made it my mission to immerse myself in the Canadian pageant community and discover everything it has to offer.

Starting right here in Ontario, I’ll be creating Canadian pageant content by attending local pageants, highlighting contestants, and sharing what makes this community so powerful. 🎥👑

I’m so excited to share this journey.

✨👑 Season 2: Spotlight Series - CNM 2026: Crowned Canadian National Miss Avery Blaze

What a moment! When I asked Avery how she felt after being crowned Miss Canadian National, her answer was simple: shock and pride. She has done a lot of work to get this moment!

Avery’s platform, Help Matter Movement, is deeply personal. Having struggled in school herself, she knows firsthand the impact that academic support can have. Through her school’s tutoring program, she was able to go from failing classes to earning scholarship money for university. 📚✨

Now, Avery is passionate about helping other students access the same opportunities. Her goal is to increase awareness and accessibility to tutoring programs so more students can succeed academically and pursue higher education without financial barriers.

If she could change one thing immediately, it would be making tutoring support more accessible to students who need it. As a student-teacher, she sees the importance of educational support every day. So far, she’s already completed 6 events and raised $2,000, and she’s hoping to raise more during her reign!

And on a lighter note, one item on Avery’s bucket list is to travel to as many countries as possible! 🌎 Recently, she added Scotland to her growing list and is looking forward to exploring even more of Canada during her year as Canadian National Miss.

To be honest, it’s probably different for everyone, but one thing is for certain: it isn’t easy, and it can be exhausting.

✨ Season 2: Spotlight Series - CNM 2026: Crowned Canadian National Mrs Maria Cuevas

If you don’t know Maria Cuevas, you might just be living under a rock. 👑✨

From working as a nurse to becoming a full-time pageant coach and mentor, Maria wears many hats and somehow manages to balance them all with grace and purpose.

One of my favorite questions to ask is: “What’s something about Maria that people don’t see behind the crown, the title, and the businesses?” (7x title holder by the way 😅)

Let’s just say she’s incredibly disciplined. Maria shared how important her routines are and how putting herself first allows her to better serve and invest in others. (We love a self-aware queen👏🏽)

When asked what she’s learned about herself after coaching and mentoring so many women, Maria shared something that really resonated with me: she believes she’s here to elevate other women.

While she is incredibly grateful for everything nursing has taught her throughout her career, she has truly found her calling through coaching and mentorship.

“I love waking up for what I get to do each day.”

✨ Season 2: Spotlight Series - CNM 2026: Miss Cassia Dimenna

One of my favorite takeaways from my conversation with Cassia was hearing how much her confidence has grown since competing in her first pageant and at Canadian National Miss. Through pageantry, she’s learned to embrace her authentic self, and it shows. 💚

And can we talk about that green dress? It suited her perfectly! ✨

Cassia is passionate about raising awareness about food insecurity and helping others understand that access to food is a basic necessity, not a privilege. Through her advocacy, she hopes to educate communities on the importance of addressing hunger and supporting those in need.

If given the title, Cassia plans to continue her work through the Feed the Future Humanitarian Project, collaborating with organizations and sharing her message with students and schools.

✨ Season 2: Spotlight Series - CNM 2026: Mrs Victoria Durward!

Talk about a Queen on a mission!

In this episode, I sit down with Victoria Durward, host of the @inner_thoughts_podcast_ , a platform dedicated to giving pageant titleholders an opportunity to share their advocacies, passions, and the causes closest to their hearts. ❤️

When I asked Victoria which guest story had inspired her the most, she immediately spoke about @melinda_ms_novacosmo24 Ms Nova Cosmo 2024, who was actually there cheering her on during the competition. Victoria shared how they competed in their first two pageants together and have built a lasting friendship rooted in encouragement, support, and celebrating each other’s successes. ✨

As someone who also loves interviewing contestants and learning about their platforms, I can truly appreciate the impact that podcasts like Inner Thoughts have in helping advocacy work reach a wider audience.

And can we take a moment to acknowledge this powerhouse? 💪

Victoria balances two jobs, runs her podcast, advocates for mental health awareness, and continues working to expand her platform’s reach so more people can access important conversations and resources. By the time this episode airs, she’ll be preparing to take her journey to Montreal!

Her commitment to raising awareness, creating meaningful conversations, and uplifting others is truly inspiring.

✨ Season 2: Spotlight Series - CNM 2026: Miss Abbey Pike!

I didn’t get the chance to interview Abbey last year, so I was especially excited to sit down with her this year, and WOW... what a difference one year can make.

Her confidence has absolutely blossomed. From her stage presence to her overall energy, she looked and carried herself like a completely different competitor. One of the biggest changes? Trading in her ball gown for a stunning fitted dress with a slit and owning every second of it. 👏

When I asked her what quality she’s developed most over the past year, she immediately answered: confidence.

Having watched her journey, I couldn’t agree more.

Abbey shares how last year’s experience was difficult at times, but instead of letting it hold her back, she used it as fuel for growth. Through healing, self-reflection, and determination, she returned stronger mentally, both in competition and in everyday life.

She also highlights her platform, Knots of Love, which works to break the stigma surrounding mental health through support, advocacy, workshops, and education.

It’s 👏🏽 About 👏🏽 Damn 👏🏽 TIME for Spotlight to be BACK again for season two with @canadiannationalmisspageant

Can you spot the equipment upgrades we got this year? (I say we but it’s really just me doing everything 🤣… for now 😉)

Spotlight is a series where I attend pageants, spend time with contestants, and give them extra time to shine.

As we all know, only 1 contestant is walks away with the crown in each division. But every contestant walks away with a story, a purpose, and a reason for being there.

Spotlight exists to give these ladies a platform to share their voice, highlight the work they’re doing in their communities, and celebrate the journeys that often happen behind the scenes.

May ✅

After a stressful month in April, this was my space to reset, reflect, and be present.

What stood out most was learning how quickly plastics break down into microplastics and how that impact comes back to us.

A reminder that small actions matter more than we think.
