What I ate in Berlin

GOOD TO US guide documents food, wellness, and cultural life — told through a Black traveler’s lens. Today by Linda.

01 // @ita.bistro - This was mind-blowingly delicious. Every bite was a joy and the service was super nice.

02 // @aris__berlin – The place to be right now and also super delicious. Went there three times. The service is a vibe and you can’t leave this place without eating the pancakes. Thank me later.

03 // @rram.berlin - Quite new. Powerful and fancy Thai food. Service also very kind and welcoming.

04 // @bertieberlin - A NYC-Style Bistro. I went there a while ago and it’s still stuck in my head. Everything was so well seasoned and the combination of all textures was just wow. And the Service: One of the best in Berlin I’ve noted so far.

05 // @kitten.deli – Great Levantine food.

06 // @larbkoi2020 – Extremely delicious and authentic Thai Place in Friedrichshain. A Must.

07 // @soopoollim.berlin – This was something new. Recommended by two of my friends separately and it didn’t disappoint. Really flavorful, healthy Korean food. Will go there again.

08 // @anneliesberlin - Great breakfast spot. The pancakes: so yum.

09 // @barra_berlin - A really nice treat for special occasions.

10 // @duosicilianicecream - It’s Sicilian ice cream, I have nothing to add to this. YUMMYYY

11 // @companion.berlin - One of the prettiest cafés you’ll find in Neukölln. Their coffee and snacks are amazing. If I lived in Berlin, it would be my go-to spot.

12 // @flattoberlin - I discovered it quite spontaneously and I’m glad I did. Really light and perfectly seasoned Japanese food. Perfect for Lunch.

13 // @soiandco - These are by far the best vegan pastries I’ve eaten. The minimalistic look and the amazing textures combined make them look like little artworks.

14 // @saveurbanhmi - Always nice for a quick snack or lunch. They have a meat and a vegan option. I love simplicity on a menu.

15 // @trio.berlin - Really nice German Food Spot.

A few weeks ago I got invited by @public_possession to their panel talk format „The other News“ during @munich_creative_business_week.

I had the honor to speak alongside @herrundfraurio @wiegandvonhartmann @mayabendel and @stefanmarx about the theme „Playground of possibilities“ and how we all live our creative practice. I really enjoyed the talk and vibe that day with the other speakers and the audience. Sometimes words can capture an atmosphere like this. Thank you to everyone who came by and listened to our perspectives and experiences. Nowadays getting together in person has become more important and isn’t taken for granted.

Together - Cookies and Drinks Vol.3 was happening a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier how it turned out.🍪 The feedback was so overwhelming I’m still in awe.

Thanks to everyone who came by and enjoyed my cookie creations with special toppings.

Thank you to the fabulous @susanannmackenzie for your outstanding delicious drinks and the immediate yes for collaborating with me on this.

Together Cookies & Drinks - Vol. 3 🍪

Linda – the mind behind @_tooogether_, an aesthetic and culinary space built around real connection, good food, and even better people – is bringing her Cookies & Drinks Series to @spin_bar_, her favorite listening bar at the moment.

And she is doing it alongside someone she deeply admires: @susanannmackenzie, one of the most iconic bartenders in the game. Her craft behind the bar is nothing short of legendary, and having her elevate this experience feels like a full-circle moment.

Cookies & Drinks is Linda’s ongoing series where homemade plant-based Hazelnut cookies (made with @eatcravers) meet thoughtfully crafted beverages – two simple things that, together, create something unexpectedly special.

Some places you visit. Others you feel.

This was @palmmoments in Accra, Ghana for us: part café, part bar, part creative hub, and entirely its own world.

Founder @tasiacobbinah built something rare: a space where the city’s creative energy lives, and everyone’s welcome in it. The food, the details, the music — all of it intentional.

We would claim it as the place to be in Accra. Highly recommended. 🌴

01 // @palmmoments - A vibrant place with delicious food, cool people and very good sound. It’s must to visit when you wanna dive into Accra‘s creative scene.

02 // @dearlola.cafe - A little oasis in Osu was our No.1 place to start into the day. The banana bread was absolutely delicious especially with the Lemon curd cream topping. You can also find other delicious artisan pastry and good coffee there.

03 // @elmcafegh - A really nice lunch spot where we stopped by coming from the butterfly market. A nice spot for chillin and resting a little. The food was on point and we really can recommend the pineapple juice. It was so good and refreshing.

04 // Makola Market - This is one of the must visit markets in Accra. It’s all at once: loud, busy, vibrant, exciting, stressful, packed, authentic and you can find literally everything you’re looking for, there. It’s giving real West African vibes.

05 // @vegantatale - Here you can find really, really good vegan Ghanaian food. We loved the rich and flavours and the diversity of vegetables served. What made it extra special was so very kind service.

06 // @vineaccra - We stayed a few days in Labone and Vine was the neighbourhood REstaurant you wish for. Stunning location and interior design,

07 // @Jamestowncoffeegh - Everyone knows it. Everyone goes there. If you like, you can spend your whole day there, working, meeting people or just enjoy a cup of really good coffee with beans from their own Roastery.

Home cooked tradional dishes + drinks
Usually Ghanians eat home, that’s why we honestly have to say that the best food we ate in Accra was at the Home of Linda’s Family in Tema. Deep spicy flavors, perfect textures and combinations made this journey to Ghana a very special one.

This one is really close to my heart. 🇬🇭 🖤

The best food in Ghana you get at home. In the families. So this post is highlighting the authentic extraordinary delicious cooking of my Family in Accra.

First you to the market and get your Favorite ingredients. Then you prep. Then you cook. Then you wait. And then… you eat something that might not be very instagramable sometimes but it makes you go quiet for a second because it just hits different. The ingredients so fresh, the flavours so deep and comforting. Just WOW 😮‍💨

It reminded me why food is my first love and the thing that connects everything for me. My roots, my love language, my people.

Many thanks especially to my Cousin Janice who taught me some of our family recipes. I‘m full of inspiration and can’t wait to share these dishes with you at some point this year. 🫶🏾✨
