Day 5/30 — This isn’t a vacation.

I’m learning that taking a break doesn’t automatically mean your mind knows how to rest.

Some days are good. Some aren’t.

But I’m giving myself permission to take it one day at a time.

Day 4/30 — Why did I feel guilty for resting?! 😭

Sleeping in. Doing nothing. Taking my time. Actually enjoying my day.

I really had to remind myself… I’m on leave for a reason.

Rest is not something I need to feel guilty about.

Day 3/30 — POV: You wake up and realize you don’t have to clock in. 😂

No alarm. No emails. No rushing out the door.

Just me…trying to remember what people actually do when they have time to themselves. 😭

Day 2/30 — Burnout didn’t happen overnight.

I just kept saying “I’m tired” until I realized…I wasn’t just tired. I was DONE. 😭

Sometimes you really do have to stop and ask yourself, “How long am I gonna keep pushing through?”

So I stopped. And I’m learning to listen to myself.

Day 1/30: I finally admitted I needed a break.

For a long time, I told myself I just needed to push through. Work was stressful, my anxiety was high, and I started realizing that I wasn’t really living—I was just getting through the days.

So I made a decision that honestly scared me: I took a 30-day medical leave from work to focus on my mental health.
