I’d like to introduce you to Oso 😊

At first I wasn’t going to post about him but here we are. He was a neighbors dog. She had to move unexpectedly and was going to give him to animal control. Not because he’s vicious or aggressive, but because the shelters are full and the only way to surrender a dog now is to give them to animal control. We don’t do that around here, so I said I’d take him and spend the time to find him a home.
I’ve known him since he was a little puppy, now he’s a big puppy of 1 year. He’s a snuggle bug who LOVES children, especially little girls. He grew up with a 4 year old girl, so that’s his soft spot and every girl in the neighborhood knows him. He’s a typical husky…. lots of energy, will tell you how he feels, and is trying to figure out how to work a doorknob.
He’s been a little trying. He wasn’t trained by his previous owner. He didn’t know sit, lay down, and wasn’t housebroken 😡😑😶 I’ve never seen a dog who was confused about what outside was for. He’s better now thanks to Bruce, and I have a new carpet cleaner.
He still needs a home and I’ll continue putting out ads to find his forever home. Until then, he’s my big snuggles. by @_traceymilligan

Welcome the newest addition to my family! Walter 🎉🎉🎉 He’s so awesome! The most personality I’ve ever seen in a fish! And yes they have personality like anything else that is alive. He follows me around the kitchen, wants to fight the ketchup or mustard if I sit it too close to his bowl (how dare they be so bright!!!) and he blows me bubbles inviting me to join him in his lovely home 😂

A new little visitor to my yard. When you feed birds and your yard becomes a haven, everything that needs food and a safe space shows up. Obviously she’s a pet that got out or was released. It’s going to take some time to gain her trust, but the whole multi grain bread with peanut butter will help. 😊

I usually take a birthday picture to mark the day and post it, but today I decided a picture I took a couple weeks ago will do. And it does! 😝

Today is my birthday and I’m less than a week out of emergency surgery, and what keeps coming back to me isn’t the big stuff. It’s a moment on a ship, watching the open ocean move beneath me. It’s walking on a beach with my toes in the sand and water splashing my ankles. These moments are simple but so big.

That’s the duality no one talks about. How little things are relative. They can be big to one person, and small to another but they both come with a cost you have to be willing to pay. Time, effort, solitude, money.

Notice the little things, they can be the most precious and rarest things you’ve ever had.

First experience of emergency surgery done. Whew 😥 what a week! My MNO had a mini flare that’s left me a little less mobile again 😤, but thank goodness I read all my labs, screens, and test results. I saw something the doctors missed. An inflamed partially blocked gallbladder ready to burst. What was supposed to be a 45-1 hour surgery turned into a 2 1/2 hour surgery, and 50 gallstones later. Jeezzzz
I love collecting rocks, so now I have new ones to add to my collection! 😂
