I remember being a toddler and telling my mum I was “scared” to pray to God because we were asked to have the fear of the Lord. She cleared it up as much as she could, and I grew up being friends with God so I guess it worked, lol.Recently, I found that I was hesitant to make some prayers, and after a deeper heart check with the Holy Spirit, I met with toddler Sharon. She’d let the fear seep in again, not because of a lack of understanding this time, but because she had lost sight of the person of Jesus she’d spent years getting to know. She had focused too hard on her circumstances in that moment; she had focused too hard on the waves and began to sink.I remember getting off this day with such a burden lifted, because I finally gave it all back to Jesus, not because anything I could see in the physical necessarily changed at that moment. I’m still aware of the weight that comes with giving everything to Him and letting Him have His way, and I in no way know what He’s going to do next , but I have the assurance that His plans for me (and you) are good and not evil, to bring me to an expected end. And I know that He is light, and in Him there’s no shadow of turning.All “Christianese” to say that I know God is good and because of that I can trust that whatever He does is good.And you can tooI promise you can count on God.
