I felt like I was being hit in the solar plexus when everything was revealed and all the air left my body. His grief, pain, hurt, and anger were so visceral. When the people who we trust and expect to listen and protect us betray us in the worst way, the consequences emotionally and mentally are huge. Oliver has so much life and love to give and it was beautiful to see him give it to Darius, to finally open himself up. Darius has the biggest heart. His attention, care, and affection for Oliver were amazing to see blossom over the course of their journey. Darius had to learn some lessons the hard way, and I wanted to fight for him. Love is one of the strongest and most resilient emotions in the world. These two had it in spades. However, sometimes love is not enough to stop the demons that run rampant in our minds and memories. I wanted to wrap these two in my arms so tight. They deserved the world. The journey to get back to each other was long but worth it. Callum and Tobi have a love worth fighting for, enduring for, and waiting for. And they had to do all of it. This story was an experience that had tears welling in my eyes on so many occasions. Here were my thoughts after readingโ€ฆ ARC Review: The depth of emotion that fills me for these characters and the journey they went on in this book is insurmountable. From the moment that Moon and Emerson emerged onto the pages, I was enraptured. The complexity of their emotionsโ€”pain, sorrow, love, and happiness pulled me in as we journeyed through their story. To love people more than loving yourself isโ€ฆheartbreaking. To put othersโ€™ needs, protection, and happiness before your own. The value of someoneโ€™s life, the answer to the question โ€œ who are youโ€ is not dependent on what you do for others or who you are to other peopleโ€ฆitโ€™s who you are for you. The tearsโ€ฆ they just kept coming because this story connected with me in so many ways. The pacing of Moon and Emersonโ€™s relationship allowed for everything to flow organically and the depth of their connection to grow. The internal struggles that they both go through are so different and handled with so much care. Themes of loss, grief, Identity, healing, and family are so prevalent throughout this story. The family element made me want to call my older sister to thank her and hug her to show her appreciation. Moon is such a great brother but he is much, much more than that. My Review: Bonnie is a woman who found herself after a stinging rejection, but what happens when the pack that rejected her comes back around? This was a great time! This is a story of rejection and second chances. Sometimes our expectations are not reality but we put so much thought and planning into what we expect out of people that we get hurt. People arenโ€™t required to want you the way you want them, but what you do after is what matters? Rejection stings! It sucks but learning how to live and grow past rejection is a theme that is prevalent with Bonnie in this story. Sheโ€™s strong and doesnโ€™t just fall, but makes the pack prove themselves. The pack, oh how I love them, they stood firm in their reasoning but understood that they had to work hard to get Bonnie. Family and friends are the people who keep our heads above water and I love how these aspects are shown. From the characters, pacing, plot ,and surprises along the way, this was a really great story.
