When a woman is becoming a mother, she often goes back to her parents—not because she doesn’t value her new home, but because there she can simply be.

She can rest without guilt, cry without judgment, eat without being questioned, and ask for care without feeling like a burden.

And perhaps that makes us pause and ask:
Why doesn’t she feel the same safety and freedom in the home she married into?
Motherhood is already a vulnerable transition. A woman shouldn’t have to choose between her two homes to find comfort.
The goal should be to build homes where women feel just as safe, understood, respected, and cared for as they do in their parents’ home.
Because home should feel like home—especially when she is becoming a mother. 🤍
