Plein air painting is always fun challenge. It’s fun to see new places and go try to do a completed painting in one session. I was Tryna using canvas paper for this painting. Definitely helps make it lighter and more portable. I think it’s good for a little studies. by @_vanceart

Main focuses that were composition, tone, and edge control. A lot of painting basically everything we do we do it in class and then again in our own time for homework so just get that repetition in. taken in Florence, Italy by @_vanceart

The school seems much further away from my apartment when I have to walk home. But still a great day I love that the academy gets straight into painting from the beginning. There’s other schools that I looked at that didn’t even do any oil painting for the first year. by @_vanceart

Start with basics. You really wanna make sure there’s no cracks in your foundation. If you are starting with problems in the most simple parts of your practice, that’s gonna translate into larger issues in your work. Do you want these simple things to be second nature something that you don’t even think about.
