🐢 Friday the 13th was never unlucky. Before patriarchy rewrote the story, 13 celebrated feminine power, the cycles of the moon, and renewal. Today, we reclaim it. Every woman who honors this legacy steps fully into her strength, her wisdom, her resilience. The number isn’t fear it’s ancestral, sacred, unstoppable 🌙. #fridaythe13th #marymagdalene #divinefeminine #fyp #triskaidekaphobia by @_ventrece

Honoring a Royal Legacy for #BlackHistoryMonth 👑🇭🇹
Today we celebrate the birthday of Princess Celestine "Célita" Soulouque (born Feb 13, 1848). As a daughter of the Second Haitian Empire, she represents a powerful era of Black sovereignty and self-determination.
Her journey—from a royal childhood to a life of resilience in exile, and finally to her reign on the island of La Gonâve—is a vital chapter of the Black diaspora’s history. We honor her today not just as a princess, but as a testament to the strength and dignity of Haitian women. 🕊️✨ -
"To know our history is to know our power." ✊🏾

James McCune Smith (1813–1865) was the first African American formally trained as a physician, earning his MD from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1837 after U.S. schools refused to admit him because of his race. In Scotland, he studied medicine and public health in a culture that valued knowledge over color. Returning to New York, he opened the first Black-owned pharmacy, treated patients of all backgrounds, and used medicine, science, and writing to fight slavery, racism, and inequality. A pioneer of public health and racial justice, Smith’s work laid the foundation for generations of Black doctors and activists. 🖤 #bhm #blackhistorymonth #blackexcellence #scotland #fyp by @_ventrece
