Hey Everyone!

I’m running the NYC Marathon this year in order to help in raising the funds needed to continue vital research to bring an end to leukemia.

The fight against leukemia is very near and dear to my heart. My uncle and namesake, Paul Verni, was an extremely gifted individual in his short but bright life. He was the valedictorian of his high school class, a talented athlete, artist as well as an aspiring doctor. Paul was diagnosed with leukemia at 17 years old and after a hard fought battle, lost his life at the young age of 19.

Along with Paul, my grandfather, Dr. Rolando Gomez had also lost his life to leukemia. Dr. Gomez brought his family, my mother Karina included, over from Lima, Peru in 1969. Through hard work and dedication, he became a well respected vascular surgeon and after decades of practice and countless lives saved, became the chief of surgery at Lawrence Hospital. After living a life dedicated to saving others and helping people battle illnesses such as leukemia, my grandfather had lost his own battle with this terrible disease.

Please help me represent them and countless others by joining in the fight to end leukemia! Any size donation to this great cause would be beyond appreciated!!

What do you get when you take some of the wildest people in NYC, break em into 7 teams, give em a finely curated list of tasks, stunts & other sins and 4 hours to rack up as many points as possible??
