A few weeks ago, I had to have one of the hardest conversations that an athlete could face. My medical team has deemed it necessary that I take a step back from the sport I love most. I am unexpectedly still recovering from back to back concussions nine months later. This decision was not made lightly, and I know that my long-term health was made a top priority. While I am no longer able to be a player on the field, I will still be my teammates biggest cheerleader on the sidelines. I am forever thankful for the support and guidance the coaches, trainers, and doctors here at Green Bay continue to give throughout this difficult transition and recovery. I am greatly honored to have had the opportunity to play college soccer at the highest level, and to continue to be a part of an amazing team with amazing people. I am excited to see what this next chapter in my life has in store for me.

This isn’t a goodbye, this is a see you later. Thank you soccer ♡︎ by @_veronicadecker
