one thing I've come to learn, especially as a believer, is that this is the only outcome possible.

we always win
crushed but not destroyed
the joy of the Lord is our strength
what'll separate us from this love?

for anyone out there feeling beat, sing those songs that remind you of who you are, that keeps you on that perpetual joy pedal.

“Joy is your weapon; it's not an effect, it's a cause"

we owed a debt we couldn't pay, Christ paid a debt he didn't owe.

that's love.

As @kb_hga puts it:
"Psalm 75 paints this picture of a cup of wine foaming at the top and the cup is described as God's anger towards sin and it's as if the drink gets stronger and as it ages it strengthens and the bible says that the wicked will drink that cup down to the bottom and that cup has your name on it.

But God is not just angry, but he's loving, patient, full of mercy...and [for] the very ones who deserve his judgment, he sends his son to make things right: in steps Jesus...

...He was not just a godly man, he was God in the flesh. He was not just a good teacher, he was the apotheosis of knowledge, never needing mercy or grace or forgiveness. He gave mercy, gave grace, gave forgiveness. And then with his perfect self, he climbs on a cross. And on that cross, he takes on that bitter cup that had your name on it. He writes his name over yours. He drinks that cup and finds the bottom in three hours, flips that cup over and says, it is finished.

The debt that I owe to God for all that I have done, the debt that you were going to pay through separation from God, Jesus cuts the check with his life and the memo says, "Paid in full"

...He gets up out the grave proving everything that he said was true. Jesus gets out the grave. The resurrection is the blue check [that] enables him to turn to...us, the thirsty, the broken, the dying, and say, come to me, I will redeem you. I will forgive you. I will restore you."

And he's always ready, with arms open wide for you, because He paid the price❤

James 1:17— Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

As believers, we know something is certain: God is good and unchanging. This is important because we have come to know and believe that our fates are not left to luck, chance or probabilities, but certainties.

For starters, we have an assurance in the hereafter, an assurance that no other man in history dared to give. An assurance of an eternity with God!

Ephesians 1:12, 13 tells us the Holy Spirit is our guarantee of that inheritance. We're not left to our own bits or whims. That's the assurance!

Luck has no place here. No ifs, buts or maybes. It's certain! We had a high priest in Christ go in to the afterlife and back. In Jesus's resurrection, we find an assurance of life after death. An assurance to all who believe.

And even here on earth, he has promised that all things, both good and bad will work together for our good (Rom 8:28). We have this confidence because he told us He has conquered the world.

That confidence is the faith with which we walk. Glory to God!
Ps. Confidence: latin, con-fide (con: with, fide: faith).
