SEGA Genesis Console Heroes 🔵💨

These retro collectibles from @console.heroes are super rad! Each cartridge opens up to reveal a mini diorama from the game. The Sonic trilogy is a must have, with Altered Beast and Street Fighter II nicely rounding up the lineup.

Rubber Soul - The Beatles 🧡🤎

Going back to my roots with a Turn Table Tuesday post. Let’s see… the last time I made a TTT post was *checks notes* 7 years ago! Mad respect to those who were following this account back when I was called Bob-omb Blog in 2019. 💣💥

Fall is here and that means it’s officially Rubber Soul season. This album marked a huge shift in the way The Beatles were writing their songs. No more naive love songs about holding hands. This is more of an introspective and melancholic take on love. Rubber Soul marked the starting point of their creative expansion and led The Beatles on the track to becoming legends. Definitely a stone cold classic and an easy listen that I revisit often. 🍏

Here are some Miiverse doodles I made from back in the day on my Wii U. I was able to recover these old posts using a website called Archiverse.

I really miss the whimsy of the Wii U/3DS era. Miiverse was such an unhinged idea and it led to so many funny memes. I wish Nintendo would bring this back.

✨New Nintendo 3DS XL: Majora’s Mask Edition✨

The 3DS is my favourite console of all time. This is my holy grail. I was fortunate enough to secure this at launch 11 years ago and it has been one of my most prized possessions ever since. Majora’s Mask was a childhood game of mine and holds a very special place in my heart. I knew that as soon as this was announced, it would be mine. 💜💚

Hello friends. What did we think of the back to back Nintendo Directs? 🍄

I think the Ocarina of Time remake looks fantastic. Personally I think Link’s design is a bit busy, but other than that everything about the game looks phenomenal. I never pre-order games but I had to pre-order this one for the foil cover cause I KNOW I will be propped up spending hours on this game day 1. 🍃

Metroid Ravenous was the biggest highlight for me. I’m a huge fan of 2D Metroid and I consider Dread’s gameplay to be the best in the series. A direct sequel without having to wait 20 years is incredible news! I’m glad Nintendo is finally treating Metroid as one of their flagship series. 🚀

Kirby and the World Beyond looks incredible. I used to run around in City Trial on Kirby Air Ride to pretend that Kirby had a 3D platforming game. So glad that we are finally getting that proper open world Kirby game. The expanded move-sets for the copy abilities are very exciting, and I can’t wait to see what sort of Eldritch abomination is waiting for us at the end of the game! ⭐️✨
