In collaboration with @sydney (pinch me!) I’m sharing two of the newest local walks 🥾 both are so stunning, accessible and offer different experiences:

🌿The GreenWay: Inner West
- vibey walk alongside the light rail with lush greenery
- 6km in total (but you can walk a smaller section)
- fully flat so it’s friendly for all wheels

🌊 Hungry Point Cliff Top Walk: Cronulla
- the most beautiful coastal views
- connects to the Cronulla beach walk for a longer walk
- stay for the gorgeous sunset view

Solo trip to New Zealand Part 3: Mount Cook/Aoraki - Sealy Tarns Track 🏔️

Over 2000 stairs later.. this hike was no joke 😬 I see why it’s called the stairway to heaven.. because I almost died haha

No but really this hike is pretty intense if you’re unfit which I was - I literally got overtaken by a man carrying a baby on his back 🤠 I almost gave up but I just took it one step at a time and slowly but surely I made it. No regrets because the view at the top was sooo stunning. I sat there mesmerised by the avalanches falling from mountains for the longest time.

Remember to pack ample water (I brought 2 bottles)! A girl I met up there only brought one bottle and it was empty by the time she got up there so I ended up sharing some of my water with her 🤍

Solo trip to New Zealand Part 2: Mount Cook/Aoraki - Hooker Valley Track 🏔️

This iconic trail was the one I was the most excited about and it did not disappoint 🤍

Even after over a year (and traversing mountains in South America), I still consider this hike as my favourite.

Maybe it’s the fact that I went alone so it felt extra peaceful, or that the scenery of the winding lake and snow capped mountains were so beautiful and felt surreal.

Or maybe because I ended up walking back with a 80 year old couple from Turkey who shared so many incredible stories with me. We talked about them migrating to Australia, their children and even life lessons. Meeting random people and connecting with them was one of the top highlights of my solo trip 🥰

Can’t wait to go back again, maybe in the winter so it’s extra snowy 👀

Note: it is currently partially closed due to repairs on one of the bridges so you won’t be able to access the lake until mid 2026.

Solo trip to New Zealand Part 1: Milford Sound 🏞️🌧️⛴️

Last year I embarked on my first solo trip to none other than the beautiful South Island of New Zealand. While just a short trip of only a week, it’s one that has stuck with me since and I think about often - not just because of how stunning the places I went to were, but because of all the personal lessons I learnt while solo travelling (which I’ll share here one day).

Milford Sound was the first location I went to, taking a day tour straight from Queenstown. Some highlights from the trip and in these photos:

- Saw so many sheep on the way! They weren’t kidding when they said NZ is full of them 🐑
- The low clouds amongst the fjord were so cool
- It recently rained so the mountains were covered in mini waterfalls
- We saw seals and kea!! 🦭🦜

Friends who share your camping hobby with you 🥰🏕️🪵

This was my first time camping with such a big group of friends (usually it’s just Martin and I) and it was so fun!! Such good vibes plus setting up/packing down was so quick and easy. So keen to go again 🥹

Everything a city girl could need at a campsite 😌🏕️ around 2-3 hours from Sydney, the Lake Lyell campsite has literally everything you need including:

💧Running water, hot showers, flushable toilets
🪵Firewood and ice available for purchase
🔥Free fire pits
🐶Dogs are allowed!
