An illustrated map of the Monsal Trail, the old railway line that winds through the Wye valley in the Derbyshire Peak District. It follows the route from Bakewell up through Monsal Head, Cressbrook and Miller’s Dale, marking the tunnels, viaducts and car parks along the way and the villages scattered either side — Ashford in the Water, the Longstones, Taddington, Tideswell and the rest.

Drawn in a textured, screenprint-style palette of dales greens, ochre fields and a pale ribbon of river, with the woodland stippled by hand and contour lines dashed in behind. Made to be genuinely useful and worth hanging on a wall in equal measure.

How Nellcôte, 1971 comes together.

It starts with Dominique Tarlé’s photographs from the summer the Stones recorded Exile on Main St. on the Riviera. I extend and build out those originals with Midjourney — growing the frame, filling the world around the figures — then collage everything back together in a square master so it holds at any scale.

Original photography, extended and animated.

The workings behind Nellcôte, 1971.

Every shot is a collage assembled in layers: Dominique Tarlé’s black-and-white photographs cut out and dropped into colour worlds I build around them — skies, the villa, the gates, the Riviera — then stacked up with Polaroids, magazine covers, tour posters and handwritten tracklists, all moving and cut in time with the music.

Nothing is a single image. It’s dozens of pieces per frame.

Nellcôte, 1971 — the square masters.

This is how the film is actually built. I animate everything as a 1:1 square first, composing so the action sits centre-frame with room to breathe at the edges. That way the exact same piece reframes cleanly to landscape, portrait, Stories, whatever the platform wants — one build, every format, nothing recomposed.

Showing the workings.

Nellcôte, 1971 — the summer the Rolling Stones fled to the French Riviera and cut Exile on Main St. in a basement.

Been animating Dominique Tarlé’s photographs from that summer into a fast, layered collage — stills, Polaroids, magazine cut-outs and album ephemera bouncing across multiple tracks and cut in time with the music. Original photography, extended and built out with Midjourney.

First 30 seconds. Sound on.

Designed on-site at National Geographic Channel’s Shepherd’s Bush studios in the summer of 2005, this was the on-disc interface for “Most Amazing Moments,” a 90-minute special counting down the channel’s most dramatic filmed events.

The design leads with the Nat Geo yellow rectangle framed over full-bleed photography — penguins, the peaks of Patagonia, giraffes at dusk — carrying the brandmark through a sequence of splash screens into the title card, main menu and an episode-selection carousel. Typography and colour follow the channel’s house style: the yellow brand accent against black, set in the network’s bold sans-serif, with clear “Watch Episode” prompts driving playback. by @_warwicka

A lead illustration for “Traitors of Arnhem” - a revisionist account of Operation Market Garden, the 1944 airborne gamble that gave us the phrase “a bridge too far,” and the article’s claim that it didn’t simply fail but was betrayed from inside the establishment.

The task was to hold a sprawling, provocative argument in a single frame. Warwicka built it as a photomontage: the airborne drop and the doomed Arnhem bridge laid beneath the cast of commanders and establishment figures the article threads through its story — Montgomery, Prince Bernhard, Lord Carrington, Ian Fleming, Daphne du Maurier, Audrey Hepburn. The whole thing is treated in a bleached, halftone military green, with OPERATION MARKET GARDEN and ARNHEM set as heavy, broken display type running behind the figures — so the image carries the piece’s suspicion without overstating the case for it. Built in Photoshop and Illustrator, sized to lead the article and its social cards. by @_warwicka

Hourlier Wines needed a campaign to carry four seasonal ranges — Off-Piste, Dinner Party, Staff Picks and Discovery — under one unmistakable look. The idea leans into the worlds each range evokes: alpine slopes and gondolas for Off-Piste, sun-warmed poolsides and formal gardens for the entertaining and discovery lines, and the vineyards themselves running through it all. A retro, halftone-print treatment ties the whole set together — faded, warm, and lightly nostalgic, giving stock and location imagery the feel of a well-thumbed travel annual rather than a slick ad. by @_warwicka
