MWD Gage is retired Navy Special Warfare and one of our newest sponsored pups! This sponsorship was made possible through the teamwork of several nonprofits and a generous donation from the 2026 Calendar Produced by Amy Zondlo!

A retired SEAL Dutch Shepherd, Gage served four combat deployments worldwide between 2018-2025. After two and a half years apart, he was finally reunited with his former handler, traveling from the West Coast to the East Coast thanks to Mission K9 Rescue. Gage spent a week in Texas recovering mid journey, during which he became fast friends with one of the mini horses living on-site! These days, Gage has traded combat zones for his favorite ball, endless scratches and plenty of naps!

We are pleased to announce that Gage’s retirement medical expenses are now fully funded. This was made possible by your donations. Thank you for supporting our retired K9s 🇺🇸

K9 Hurricane's Heroes- non-profit organization which provides “retired law enforcement and military dogs” with subsidized veterinary care so they can live a long and healthy life. Often these incredible dogs are the unsung heroes behind the operations put in place to keep us safe. HH joined forces with Paws of Honor back in 2020. All of the Hurricane's Heroes sponsored K9s are enrolled with POH!

Calendar Produced by Amy Zondlo - Thanks to your calendar purchases, Amy Zondlo donated $1,000 to help cover MWD Gage’s medical bills through K9HH. These 18-month calendars are still moving fast - get yours via the link in @_wi_k9 and help us continue supporting retired heroes! And be sure to thank Amy for her hard work in helping support our retired four legged heroes!

Mission K9 - is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing and reuniting Military Working Dogs (MWD) and Contract Working Dogs (CWD) with their former handlers in retirement. For any retired hero without a designated handler, Mission K9 works tirelessly to find them the perfect, loving forever home. Some see me and don’t care. Some see me and see me back. 👀 I love it when they see me and don’t care, yet I love it when they do…as I walk out of their gaze of focus. 😉 by @_wi_k9

I’ll easily admit that this would’ve freaked me out a few years ago. But…believing in yourself, working hard, learning with each interaction and observation, and having a solid network of people you trust to help you along, you can accomplish things you never dreamed you could. At any age. Don’t waste time either! 🙏🐾 ⏳

🚨‼️Here’s team @k9officerchase , Pleasant Prairie, Wisco. They’ve been seen on 📺’s @officialoplive chasing (yes, pun intended) some folks on the run! I think that @dan_abrams should consider inviting me on a K9 ride along with my camera for one episode! 📸 And he should probably invite K9 Chase to help host an episode too! What you think? 🤔 by @_wi_k9
