In my last post, I spoke about how I had played around the idea of deleting my page😂

That was real.

In previous months, life has been life-ing extremely hard. And, most times, I could barely catch my breath. One thing I hardly remember when I'm faced with so much is that life never stops still for anyone. So, no matter the twists and turns, keeping one's head above water is a skill we'd all have to learn. Sooner or later.

Me? I'm learning now.
And I'm holding on to what matters.

SISÍ MI L’ÉKÒ ó...

Have you seen the life of Lagos in all it’s glory? Perhaps, you’re familiar with the bridges, the rawness of the streets and the clear distinction between the mainland and the land where God dwells among men.
You have likely tasted of the scorching heat and the flattering rizz of love at first sight in public transits.
You might know, very well, how downpours happen spontaneously; how you must be prepared even when the clouds give you no warning.
You might have seen the city in all its worsts, while yet, in its entire majesty.

But, you could have missed the reason why lights never go out at ten. The reason every Lagos party has a star rating. She is that one entity who knows the third name of money and the biggest definition of glam. I saw her a lot, growing up; envied her perfect strides and the way the Lagos sun obliged her detailed features. Her accessories were one to die for, they made the women of our yard so jealous. Occasionally, I’d hear their gossips of how much treasures she collects, stored up for a future that was never guaranteed...gossips of how wealthy she still is, with loneliness being the only poverty she endures.
