Today we present @_yeiks

Yeiks’ relationship with sound stems from a lifetime quietly dedicated to music. Long before stepping into a DJ booth, his world was shaped by a classical piano foundation that naturally taught him the values of structure, patience, and harmony.

Nowadays, his primary focus remains in the studio: an ongoing, introspective process of learning and crafting deep, raw, and hypnotic soundscapes.

This organic connection to music production feeds directly into his identity behind the decks. As a resident of Madrid’s Symbole Community, Yeiks has developed a highly versatile and fluid approach to DJing. His sets can take many different directions, but his focus always remains on the dancefloor, moving from deeper, house-infused grooves to the most driving techno.

In this set, he showcased everything from his deeper approach to the sound that characterizes him, while teasing some of his own unreleased tracks.

Starting the year with love, surrounded by friends and music.
So simple… yet we manage to complicate it.

For a while, pressure, comparison, and a lack of patience kept me from enjoying the journey.
Little by little, I’m learning to appreciate how beautiful it can be.

Desde que empecé a producir, siempre dudaba a la hora de meter melodías en mis temas. Sentía que no encajaban, que rompían con lo que se supone que debía ser un track de techno, o simplemente pensaba que no iban a gustar.

Con el tiempo entendí algo: también hay espacio para la emoción, para el contraste, para contar algo más allá del ritmo.

Heaven nace de ahí. De querer mostrar una parte más profunda de mí, de dejar atrás los límites, y soltar algo que llevaba tiempo guardando.
Me alegra haberlo hecho. Y más aún, poder compartirlo.

Gracias @elvingence___ @jsegura.bt @belugatracks por creer en mí, en mi sonido, y por luchar para que este tema viera la luz. Hacerme sentir especial y trabajar como lo hacéis, marca la diferencia.
A @vault_sessions por la premiere.
Y cómo no, a @__vilchezz , que fue quien me empujó a compartirlo cuando lo escuchó por primera vez.

Aunque me da un poco de vergüenza, os dejo también una pequeña parte de cómo fue el proceso creativo.
Tenía la melodía en la cabeza, así que no quedó otra que cantarla (perdonad la voz horrible), y de ahí, llevarla a Ableton fue mucho más fácil con el teclado. by @_yeiks

Here is the next PRTL WRX EP. Yeiks and I have been curating this one for about a year or more now, and these 4 tracks of his are not the original four that we started with. Yeiks and I have gotten to know each other during my time in Madrid, where he is very involved with the Symbole team. Anyway, Yeiks is super productive and I love what he’s doing, so more than happy to be releasing his EP on PRTL WRX. Huge thanks also to @slone_techno and @benza.___ for the solid remixes!
