🇦🇹 One thing I’ll never forget about Vienna is the catacomb tour beneath St. Stephen’s Cathedral at Stephansplatz.

The Habsburgs had this unusual “separate burial” tradition, where the bodies of royal family members were divided after death, with different parts buried in separate churches in Vienna.

...and until now, I still can’t quite put into words how I feel about this peculiar tradition.

🇦🇹 I can still vividly picture myself sitting on one of those city trams, mouth hanging open, staring in awe at Vienna’s historic architecture.

Even little corners like this are screaming with beauty.

🇦🇹 There was a marathon happening while we were in Vienna. I had recently joined a running event and ran 12km, and I had this crazy idea:

What if I ran a marathon?

My farthest run as of writing is 15 km 😊

🇦🇹 I don't know them but I've seen them.

🇻🇳 Posting photos from Hanoi 2 years ago before I find myself eating pho in Vietnam again.

xx
We stayed in the Old Quarter, where you’d often see people, especially the sellers, wearing the nón lá.

We also rode a xích lô around the city. Our driver was incredibly skilled. He could squeeze into any lane whenever he could. It was definitely a memorable experience, but no, I wouldn’t do it again.

I’ve seen so many women riding motorcycles in heels, and I think they're ridiculously brilliant.

Those people sitting on tiny stools along the street reminded me of Anthony Bourdain.

I surprisingly enjoyed pho. I usually find them bland 🫢 The báhn mì that we ordered for breakfast through Grab were (oh my God!) beyond perfect. I will never forget it!

It was my first time seeing sausages cooked on stones. Little peculiar things like this are what make me appreciate travelling even more.

There was a time when it took us ages to cross the street. The traffic was a beautiful kind of organised chaos. And then this lady in green helped us cross by simply raising one hand and signalling for the motorcycles to stop, as if she had some kind of superpower. Of course, we had to follow her to her shop for afternoon tea.

When I ordered coffee for the first time, I went back to the counter and genuinely asked if they had forgotten to add the hot milk. That was an embarrassing experience. by @_youngcampbell

"Looking back, I faced a pivotal career choice: becoming a university educator or accepting a position as a manager. I ultimately chose the latter, largely because the educator role offered a salary that was $20,000 lower.

In hindsight, this decision cost me more than I had anticipated. The pressures of clinical management, compounded by my cyclical depression, gradually became overwhelming. As the department expanded, so did the expectations placed on me. While certain aspects of the work were rewarding, the role grew increasingly demanding, isolating, and lonely. The irregular hours—nights, weekends, and unpredictable shifts—made it difficult to build and sustain meaningful relationships.

Now, on my older years, I find it challenging to reconnect socially and forge new bonds. Looking back, I believe that had I chosen the academic path, I might still be working today. Instead, depression curtailed my career and profoundly altered the course of my life."

The beauty of my job lies in the opportunity to meet people from whom I can learn through their life experiences. A few days ago, I met a man who made me reflect deeply on my career choices, long-term financial planning, and the importance of building meaningful relationships. This encounter left me questioning: What are the things I truly value?

🇻🇳 I saw a lot of Vietnamese people celebrating their football victory a few days ago, and I actually felt happy for them - like I was extremely happy, like their joy was my own. It made me wonder: if I hadn't been to Vietnam, would I have felt the same way? Or would I have just shrugged, barely thinking about it?

It's strange how visiting a country, even just for a vacation, creates this special connection between you and the place, and its people. Maybe it's because traveling allows you to experience their culture, their way of life, and even some of their hardships and joys. You're no longer just an outsider looking in; you've been there, even if only for a short time. It's like a part of you belongs there, and their joys are a little bit like yours. Isn't that fascinating? taken in Hội An by @_youngcampbell

My conversation with my patient keeps replaying in my mind: "I have lived a good life, but I don't know how to have a good death."

It makes me wonder—is being able to live a good life not enough to have a good death?

Or is it something different entirely when you're face-to-face with the reality of it? Perhaps it's only in those final moments, when the inevitability of death becomes clear, that we truly understand what it means to live.

How do we say life has greater meaning, by chapters of a book or by paragraph of a page?

Some people say we should "live in the moment". That very moment when he realised that his end was coming - being able to know, is it a blessing or a curse?

So, does the value of life lies in experiencing and cherishing beautiful moments—like the satisfaction of finding the perfect piece of a jigsaw puzzle that completes the picture. Those fleeting "eureka" moments - could be what gives life its richness and depth. Is that enough to prepare us for death, or is the art of a "good death" something more complex?
