His recent project took him behind the scenes at the Met Gala with designer Ozwald Boateng.
“If I’m shooting a concert, I tap into the artist’s energy—the lights, the mood, the vibe. I already see the final frame in my head. That’s how I shoot with purpose.”

TOMA, What A Journey 🫶🏻🥲

One of the biggest chapters of my life, thank you to @elischaedouard for bringing me with you to my first TOMA, we started out in Miami and Atlanta and aside from the work I had to do, you told me “go do your thing” and I did just that and photographed TOMA for myself. Sometime later, I was asked to shoot the TOMA NYC announce campaign and capture all the borough stops. Thank you @oved_industry and the whole team of @industry______ for allowing and believing in me to be a part of this, I’m forever grateful. I have seen my work now all over the city I was raised in and before it was only a dream I wished one day happened. I was able to meet many amazing people throughout this journey from staff, creatives, photographers, videographers to the elite youth ballers from all over the country. Thank you to the @nikenyc team for everything, it was a pleasure meeting and working with everyone!! It’s been a couple months to remember for life, until next time 🫶🏻

It’s been 5 years since I picked up a camera.

I still remember the day I said I wanted to try photography, and it’s crazy thinking about where that decision has taken me. Over 100,000 photos later… sleepless nights, last-minute flights, hours editing, creating, learning, failing, growing, and documenting moments I once could only dream about being around.

Through this camera I’ve been able to travel across the world, meet and work with incredible artists, athletes, creatives, brands, and people who inspired me long before I ever thought I’d cross paths with them.

There were a lot of moments where I questioned myself, wondered if I was moving fast enough, or if I was truly reaching the level I wanted for myself. But today, I can honestly say I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished in these past 5 years.

As much as I’m grateful for everything that’s happened so far, I still feel like I’m only at the beginning. I always believed I would make something meaningful out of this, and I know there’s still so much more to create, build, and experience.

This exhibition is a celebration of that journey so far — every risk, every lesson, every connection, every long night, every moment behind the lens.

5 Years of YB Captures.
