It was an absolute honour to have my work walk down the runway at @nzfashionwk this year along side the other talented emerging designers of Aotearoa.

An experience which wouldn’t of been possible without the unbelievable support of my whanau and friends and lecturers @whitecliffe_sustainablefashion

I want to say a massive thank you to @danahwa for choosing to showcase some of my garments for the NZFW Campaign Shoot 2025. It was surreal seeing the billboards and ads everywhere, a major credit to a lot of the recognition I have gotten recently.

THE COLLAR

This collar I will be displaying tomorrow explores textiles beyond adornment while using collaborative work as a tool to reground values through community and intentional craft

From taut string, each artist is representative of a fibre. Unravelling from the relentless worship of new and cheap, we retwist together to create experience and connection, not just the tactile

I am excited to have the opportunity to showcase along side such talented artists with shared values and practices from across Aotearoa

Composition: recycled 100% black wool, 100% silk lining dyed with iron and 100% cotton embroidery thread dyed with kawakawa and rosemary

I’m extremely excited to be a participant in the exhibition COLLAR curated by @lelajacobs presented by @thekeep__ for NZFW

Along side 60 artist from across Aotearoa these bespoke collars will be showcased to honour hand made craftsmanship across all textile industries
