Happy Labor Day.

I wrote a new article about our culture’s obsession with appearing unbothered—and why emotional unavailability should never be mistaken for strength.

I hope you take a moment to read it.

And remember:

I love you…

and that’s okay. ✌🏾🫠 by @a.__mado

The article turned essay…

After constant internal back-and-forth, countless revisions, and a few last-minute rewrites, I’ve finally published my second article—or essay, lol.

The Domesticated Negro

An essay chronicling Black life within white systems—and the complicated price of learning how to survive them.

After much debate, strain, and an internal struggle with perfectionism,

I have finally written my first article…. ✍🏾

https://open.substack.com/pub/ahmadminnis/p/who-is-going-to-show-up-for-the-kids?r=6rexm6&utm_medium=ios

This serves as the beginning, not the end, and I hope you leave with something that stays with you.

Through this spiritual process of mental release, I seek not only to better articulate and convey my thoughts to the world, but also, and more importantly, to bring insight and awareness to the things we often overlook. Above all, I hope my writing brings about the transformational process of healing made possible through the sacred act of love.

Thank you, and enjoy. 😌 by @a.__mado

Today's students are juggling more than classes. They're managing rising costs, unexpected expenses, all while trying to stay focused... on their degree. Even a small gap can derail a dream. That’s why the 100 for the Future Campaign matters. Your $100 gift helps ease those pressures and keeps Panthers moving forward. Give, share, show up. Now through September8th. $100. One future. “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou

One of my first goals in life was to understand and grow within myself so I could help others do the same.
Now, as I sit and reflect on my time at Clark Atlanta University, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the memories and moments I’ve been blessed to experience.

What brings me peace is knowing I made a difference — that through every encounter, we built a community grounded in love, growth, and service.
I’m forever thankful for every connection, every lesson, and every bit of family I found along the way. I love you all ❤️💯

Thank you, CAU family. Love always. ❤️
