My life completely changed this weekend. I am so grateful for this group of guys and being able to go to surge with them this weekend. The spiritual battle I have been fighting these past few years has been tremendously difficult, and this weekend marks the beginning of me having the upper hand in this battle.

I fully surrender my life to Christ and his love. He will guide me through every struggle I will face and every victory I will have. I’m done living as a Christian on Sundays and living for the world every other day. This weekend has been so full of God, and I know going back into normal life will be so difficult, but I know Jesus has equipped me to never fall out of love with him.

#surgewknd was such an amazing event and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Jesus for speaking through all of the leaders this weekend into me and everyone at the event. It’s so crazy being able to pinpoint the exact moment I gave my life to Christ. Bryce asked us the question, “What has following the ways of the world given you?” And it sounds like such a simple question but it just hit me like a truck. It was like Jesus told me that it’s time to come home. And I did. I stood up and let everyone know that I’ve given my life to Christ and I won’t go back.

Finishing the weekend off with seeing Bryce Crawford was like the cherry on top. The way he speaks and the passion he puts into his preaching is so inspiring and beautiful. I look forward to many more years of his ministry.

These last four years have been a crazy ride and I’m so glad I’ve been able to spend it with such amazing people. It’s so sad to see marching band end, because it feels like a big part of me from the past four years is leaving too. Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy I don’t have to play the fight song anymore, but marching band has helped form who I am today. I can’t wait for what this next chapter of life has in store for me and I hope it lives up to what marching band has been. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. Also I wish I could put more than 20 pictures in a post.
