🎶 Everything Stays - Rebecca Sugar
-
Over time it’s easy to romanticise certain memories to preserve feelings we once felt, especially as our worlds continue to change, but things don’t really “change” nearly as much as it seems. As we grow, the brightness that once shone from certain memories yields to the passage of time, but those that remain share a likeness to gems in a jewellery box, each one with its own beauty & story to tell, always softly glowing deep in our subconscious. To me it’s comforting to know that we hold such solace within ourselves, it’s even more comforting that another’s “gem” may shine the same light as our own, but that’s a rant for another day, let’s just appreciate how everything stays
