This IKEA find solves 3 problems in one. ✨

I’m always looking for beautiful pieces that make everyday life easier, and this one does exactly that.

The VÄSTMÄRKE tray:
✔️ Keeps all your small essentials organised
✔️ Has a built-in light
✔️ Doubles as a wireless phone charger

And this for only CHF 19.95 (around €20). Such a good little find!

Would you put this on your bedside table or entryway? 🤍

I love seasonal decor. I just don’t love storing it. 🎃

Especially when Halloween turns into Christmas in what feels like five minutes.

So here’s my latest little interior discovery: foldable paper decorations.

These paper pumpkins from IKEA and the Christmas tree from ALDI are not only beautiful and easy to style, but also reusable and fold completely flat when the season is over.

No bulky boxes, no extra storage space, and no need to buy new decorations every year.

Save this for your next seasonal decor hunt. ♥️

You can buy expensive furniture, but your home will always look mediocre if you don’t get these three things right.

Proportions are one of the most common interior design mistakes I see.

A coffee table that’s too low, curtains that are too long or too short, a mirror hanging at the wrong height.

Small details that can make an entire room feel off, no matter how beautiful or expensive your furniture is.

The good news? Once you know the rules, they’re surprisingly easy to fix.

Which of these mistakes looks familiar? 👀

Follow @a.bel.home for more interior tips and simple design rules that make a big difference. ✨

Color crush of the month? Chartreuse!

Swipe for color code, favorite home items in that shade, cuteness overload and matching palette 💚

Do you like it?
I am seriously thinking of getting the Togo Mini from @ligneroset in that color!

Save for later!

3 things that make your home look cheap, and how to fix it!

Most people think a beautiful home comes down to beautiful furniture. But often, it’s the little details that make all the difference.

I’ve been researching the little measurements and proportions that make a home look more balanced and intentional. And I’ve discovered quite a few things I got wrong in my own home…

So I put together a little cheatsheet with some of the most useful interior measurements, especially helpful if you’re decorating a rental.

Comment CHEATSHEET and I’ll send it straight to your DMs 🤍

Who said a boys room must be blue?

I wanted this IKEA cabinet to look custom-made, so here’s what we did 👇

I went to the hardware store and had four pieces of MDF cut to fit the gaps perfectly.

Where we couldn’t drill directly into the MDF, we added a few small pieces of raw wood for the fixtures.

And then I had my husband do the hard work 😉🔨

Such a simple change, but I think it makes the whole cabinet look so much more intentional.

What do you think — before or after?

If your gallery wall looks off, you probably need to fix these three things:

1. Adjust the spacing between the art to 5–7.5cm max.
2. Position the lowest part of the gallery wall 15–20cm over the highest part of the furniture below.
3. Choose an optical center, ideally matching the center of the wall.

Bonus tip: Make sure the gallery wall’s width does not exceed the furniture/sofa below it. Take 2/3 of it as a rule.

Save for later ✌🏻

Did you apply some of these rules to your gallery wall?
