Late night spinning: Travis Scott – Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight 🦅
•
14 tracks • 53 min
Released September 2, 2016
•
Pressing: standard black vinyl ⚫️
•
"Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight" is pure atmosphere from start to finish. The album blends trap, psychedelic rap, dark melodies, and heavy bass into a sound that feels immersive and cinematic.
Listening to it feels like going on a journey. 🌌

Every track flows into the next with hazy synths, layered vocals, and those signature Travis adlibs that pull you deeper into the mood. It is one of those projects where you can close your eyes and just drift away.

In 2016, this album helped define the year and proved once again that Travis Scott is a true album maker. The production, the sequencing, the vibe, everything feels intentional. For me, this is easily a 10 out of 10 project and one that still sounds just as powerful years later. 🔥✨️

27 YEARS AGO TODAY, IT WAS DOOMSDAY 🎤🔥

Late Night Spinning: MF DOOM – Operation: Doomsday
•
19 tracks • 58 min
Released October 19, 1999
•
Pressing: repress standard black vinyl ⚫️✨️
•
MF DOOM’s debut introduced the world to one of underground hip-hop’s most legendary villains. Raw beats, dusty samples, clever wordplay and that unmistakable masked persona made this album a blueprint for alternative hip-hop.

From “Doomsday” to “Rhymes Like Dimes,” DOOM proved that you don’t need the mainstream spotlight to become a legend. More than just an album, this was the beginning of an icon!

Forever one of a kind. Rest in peace, MF DOOM. 🕊️🙏🏼

8 YEARS AGO TODAY, YANDHI WAS ANNOUNCED... 💽

And somehow… we still never got the album...

Now Spinning: Kanye West – Yandhi (leaked💿)
•
Release: unreleased - never really dropped
•
Pressing: unofficial pink/purple pressing 🟣✨️
•
On September 27, 2018, Kanye announced "Yandhi", originally scheduled to drop just two days later on September 29. The project was supposed to be the follow-up to "ye", with a completely different sound and collaborations with artists like Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj and more.

But September 29 came… and "Yandhi" never arrived. The album was later pushed to November 23 after Kanye traveled to Uganda to continue working on it, before eventually being delayed indefinitely.

But "Yandhi " didn’t completely disappear. As Kanye’s musical direction changed, parts of the project evolved into "Jesus Is King", with songs like “Chakras” → “Selah”, “The Storm” → “Everything We Need” and “Law of Attraction” → “Use This Gospel.”

Other ideas and songs from the "Yandhi" era continued to resurface years later, including material that eventually appeared on "Donda" and other projects.

By the way, the “Hurricane” playing in this video was originally intended for Yandhi under the title “80 Degrees”, before being completely reworked years later and released on Donda as “Hurricane” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby.

Even though it was never officially released, the music from the sessions leaked over the years and turned "Yandhi" into one of the most iconic unreleased albums ever!!!

8 years later… and we’re still talking about "Yandhi".
